Help with lighting issue on perpetual harvest grow!

Hey guys, i have a bit of a situation with lights and what not. I own a 400 watt MH ballast and bulb which i have 6 plants under now, awaiting flowering... I also own a 150watt HPS bulb and ballast.. The question i have is how will my results be affected since i am using the opposite color spectrum for veg and flowering?? I know HPS is better for flowering and MH for veg, but the thing is i cant get a 400watt MH to HPS conversion bulb due to the lacking igniter in a MH ballast. I also know that i will get better results using a 400 watt MH light vs a 150 watt HPS light even though HPS is preferred spectrum during flowering.

So i am going to have to use my 150 watt HPS ballast and bulb for veg, then transfer to a 400watt MH for flowering... is this going to be an issue, or does it affect results? Any light shedding on the subject is helpful!
Thanks!

use both MH and HPS in your flower chamber.

buy some 4 ft. flourescent fixtures... like 3 of them... for your seedling/clone/vegatative chamber.

adding the 150 hps to my flowering room might cause some heat issues to arise... but i could go for that! i feel like the vegetative growth would be compromised if i use just flourescents.. long stretchy branches... but icould give it a shot. thanks alot!

any idea of where to get a 150 watt hps to MH conversion bulb?

i think i've found a compromise.. im going to run my vegetative chamber with my 150 watt HPS ballast and bulb until i find a 150 watt HPS-MH conversion bulb.

I'm going to also have 5 42watt 6500K CFL's to complement the 150 watt HPS. Im going to run the 400 watt MH in the flowering room.. not ideal, i know, but do-able.

In order to save electricity, im going to run the 150 watt HPS only 14 hours a day, while the CFL's run all 20 hours of light, with 4 hrs of darkness. Also with my 400 watt in the flowering chamber running at 12/12.. i think that would help yields with the balanced spectrum and also better power efficiency.. Let me know what you all think about the subject.

Thanks!

okay guys, so my grow was looking absolutely marvelous...but all 6 turned out male!!!! AHHH!!

I was just wondering if it may have been human error that caused this? I nurtured my plants very nicely... they looked great! So was it me or is this just bad luck? Hopefully i don't have to be paranoid about me losing another 3 months for a male grow! haha

here's the nutes i was using just in case that's helpful.
