Help with ph down info (Advanced Hydroponice of holland )

Hi Guys
I need help to know about advanced hydroponics of holland ph down -Bloom

The water reading from the tap is 7-8 ph and I want to get it down to 6.5 However as this ph down says (- Bloom ) Its for hydroponics use really should I be using this ? while in veg or the fact I am growing in soil will that even matter?

Growing in soil ph 6.5 all mix, The question really is do I need to get a different Ph down for grow / veg period. Or should I even ph down the water before I add the fert?

Well, you should add pH down AFTER you've combined the nutes. If you do it before, then the pH of the nute solution will change upon mixing in the nutes and you probly will end up having to adjust the pH again before using it on the plants.

I'm not familiar with that particular brand of pH down, but I assume that it's made from phosphoric acid (and therefore provides some needed phosphorous for bloom phase). Maybe if you post a link (or just check out the label for the ingredients), we can tell for sure. If it IS phosphoric-acid based, then it's fine to use even for soil-based grows (although adding it WILL alter your NPK ratio). Whether you should use it during the veg phase might depend on how much you end up having to use, since, as I said, it will alter your the NPK ratio of your nute solution...if you only need to add a little to get to pH 6.5, it's perfectly fine, but if you need to add a LOT, there are better ways to get the pH of your nute mixtures down without adding those excessive amounts of P.

Thanks for the reply , I got some new ph down different brand as well, I didnt want to use that other one until I start to flower, I have taken your advise tested it after
I put in the nutes and its saying within the range I need 6.5 to 7 , I am using soil that has buffers in it so its coming out peachy , However since this last post I
found all 3 plants had balls so i had to wish them well .. bad times...

On the up side started with some jack 47 x3 and Violater kush x5 , into the 2/3 week of veg now.

If you get all males this time around, it might be time to order some feminized seeds
