Help

Ok strains are JuicyFruit and Blueberry, sprouted the 4th of November so they are almost 2 months and want to sex them in the next couple weeks but am having trouble not sure if its a nute prob. my ph is fine and have been feeding about half strength I know i need to bump it up and will later but any advice appreciated, browing spots and tearing leaves??

that spottiness looks like a virus problem but more likely your planst are ready to be transplantede into those bigger pots. lift one out of the cup and check to see if getting rootbound. that second pic looks like clear p deficiency. i think you can start giving half strength as well. also are you measuring your ph?

Ummm... they are in the bigger pots, if you look closer you can see, they have been in there since like week 3, I just cut the bottoms and place on the top instead of pulling the whle plant out to repot, less stress.. virus problem, can you elaborate, I know there is no pest issues as I have checked and after last grow this room has been redone and treated. Also I am feeding half strength, I need to increase again but have been abit lazy bout it. are you thinking p deficiency because of the red stem? only askign because I first thought that but all the BB that i have have a red stem, so i ruled that out maybe it is tho. oh and my ph is fine i keep it right around 6.3-6.5

any other advice??

WOW! That is some set up :confused:

I would cut that cup away and get them into bigger pots all together. After getting them into a more main stream enviorment, I would flush with PH'd water then start back with 1/4th nutes and some Cal-Mag. Hopefully between the re-potting, flushing and Cal-Mag it will straighten itself out a bit.

I really dont know what else to say. I'm just kinda scratching my head about the whole set up? Where did that come from?

Hey Cali... is that soil and perlite or Coco and Perlite? If it's Coco & Perlite then your PH should be 6.0

Also.... do you know what the PPM is? I know you said you were only feeding at 1/2 strength .... but I'm wondering what the content of your tap water is. My tap water is 550+ PPM so even with 1/2 strength nutes I had problems that looked a lot like that. The salts were simply too high and my plants (BB & WW) eventually died.

If you have a PH/PPM meter take a reading of the runoff.... I think it will be easier to diagnose the problem if you know what that reading is.

Ya I dont wanna bust the cup away they have been like that for several weeks big big mess n problems. I havent had any issues transplanting like that before, but eh... I just watered so should I flush even tho they are still pretty damp ? I dunno I have no clue this was very strange happened a bit after I moved em to the other room.

ok i started from seed on 10/28 so im a week ahead of you mine looked just like that when i overwatered them (with 1/2 strength nutes) just leave them alone for a few days they will dry up and perk up.i think. the hardest part of growing is not touching the plants,i always want to be doing something to them ...usually watering=overwatering

It might be messy but it will be worth it. I have heard that BB is a tough strain to grow. You might want to use the search function and see if there is anything out there about the BB strain and some of the probs growing it.

I do think your roots are constrained against that narrow cup. You may have room at the bottom but I dont think it will give them the room they need.

I'll keep my eyes peeled and see if I can find anything about those probs :hump:

its soil and perlite mix i make up peat moss and all. I also use distlled water so havent had to test ppm .. since i had to many issues starting my seeds in dwc i decided per the advice of KP to establish my mother in soil and clone in hydro. strange I delt with about every other problem last grow but have no clue wot or where this all came from. Im leaning towards the thought of flushing and feed half strenth next time.. your opinions?

Check the PH of that distilled water. It may be low in ppm but high in PH. The brand I got yesterday was almost 8 !!

reads around 5.5- 5.8 with my nutes its around 6.5 most of the time, I test ph all the time and keep it pretty consistant

Are you saying it is 5.5-5.8 BEFORE you add nutes .... and then after it is 6.5? Or are you saying the water/food going in is 6.5 and coming out is 5.5-5.8?

If you are feeding it 6.5 and the runoff is 5.5 then that means your plants are drinking water but NOT taking in the nutes. The runoff should have a slight drift UP, indicating your plants are eating the nutes... thus raising the PH.

How often are you watering? Too much water could also cause the roots to develop a fungus causing the nute lockout and lower PH runoff.

Ok ya sorry that was really confusing because i would answer one questions before the other popped up.. n e ways no my distilled water prior to nutes is 5.5 ish and my run off typically is 6.5ish, I have watered alot less being winter and its not so dry here so every few days 3 or 4 days maybe five i wait til they are dry to water. new growth seemed ok on most except one which had like torn leaves but could have been due to some half ass topping on my part.
