ive had my aeroponics setup for bout 4 days and its smelly like a cwimming pool when i ipoen the lid, the stench of chlorine is nasty, do you recon the chlorine from the tap water is vapourizing, if anyone could help, do you rekon i should use mineral water? and what effect does the chlorine have on the plant?

Your aeroponics shouldnt smell like that. Apparently where u live the water has a high chlorine level. Not sure if it hurts the babes though. Sure it can't be gucci

I've never grew indoors, yet. You just need to get a water filter to attach to your sink. Like Pur , it gets the chlorine out because it uses a carbon filter. Chlorine can kill some of the microorganisms that form a community with the roots, which results in slower growth, and tip burns on leaves.

Consider letting your water sit out, exposed to the air, for a day or so. That should allow some of the crud to leave the water

though its obviously not 100% effective, its better than pouring it straight from the faucet


edit: for reference purposes, i just bought a small Brita pitcher. Makes me great drinking water, and great water for my plants as well!
