save your money cause no matter what anyone says bud cures and mellows with age, quick dry only brings on harsh cruddy smoke. even in bud dryers but if your selling the crop then hey why not use it and save time.:blsmoke:

Hey showgirl welcome to the forum. Most of the opinions you will see will not favor doing this. I did remember reading in Jorge's book that there was a guy doing a 'quick dry' successfully. so it was in my mind. Al B Fuct posted a Bud Dryer. He explained it very well and had already posted his autographer copy of Jorge's first book so I listened to what he said. I posted construction of a bud dryer in the DIY section. Al has been using his for years. If you are in the neighborhood stop by, you can check it out for yourself, I have, it works fine. You do have to control and monitor temps. VV

Hey Showgirl,

How did you get on?
Well I made one with a 6" inline fan and carbon filterand inside racks and used a 8 gallon tupperware toot and vented cover. I didn't have a heater installed but it did work ok but never ever put it to a lot of use and eventually used the filter in the exit air from the gr and have the 6" fan on standby for replacement or added to increase the inlet air coming in in hot temperatures. I really didn't need it but for someone that needs one it should work great and only cost say 50 bucks.Peace to ya. Showgirl

bcnorthernlights.com has a bud dryer that works well. you can dry then sweat then cure it. It cuts down 99% of the smell and definatly speeds things up.

IF you want a cheap homemade bud dryer. Take a cardboard box (the same size as a cable box) and from one end of the bottom, tape string to the other end. make 3 or 4 rows. Cut out a hole in the back for a small computer dc fan.

Hang ur buds from the string and place ontop of a cable box. The heat from a cable box is just enough heat to dry out the buds that hang above from the strings at the bottom of the box. The fan keeps are flowing out of the box as it draws it up from the cable box.

Usually drys out the bud in 4 days. The stems almost snap and bud is ready for curing.
