herbtoker's first grow: easy sativa, northern lights, and pure afghani

more pics of the nl from saturday when i went to water her.

she looked great, but i have some bad news. there was frost last night and there will most likely be some tonight. i did put a trash bag over her so that might have helped. i heard that she will be fine if i did the trash bag. im going back tomorrow to water and well see if she survived.

first pic is the top bud, second is a side bud, third is the top bud closer up, and the last is a "full body shot" of her.

any ideas when she'll be ready? please help im nervous shell freeze!

The bag thing should work. If you see the tips of the leaves get "burned" or dried-like at the ends then harvest her. A good friend of mine swears that they need to go through at least 2 frosts before he harvests. So don't sweat it, just keep a close eye on her.

yea, they did get some brown in them. i cant harvest yet though... shes just not dont yet i dont think she looks ok but definitely not as good as before the freeze. i will let her go another couple weeks if possible, but im thinking its gonna start getting to cold here in colorado for plants to stay alive

hopefully two weeks... if it stays warm enough in colorado! i dont know if i will be able to leave this one that long. i hope so but its already getting a lot colder here.

bad bad news. the trash bag got full of rain water somehow (no idea how! that just doesnt really make sense to me... it was over the plant so it all should have just ran down it... who knows but im pissed!!!)
she was toppled over like a hurricane hit here. i got a tomato cage and tried to prop her back up but she is not so happy i dont think. well see what happens... i hope shes okay! all i do know is that she look like shit compared to before she fell over. fuck! (sorry, i am really mad)

any suggestions? i dont know what to do with her or what would help?

they loook alright.... make sure the bugs dont get em....pestacides are a good investment...... and the cold weather is causing purpling..... id choppem in a week or twooo.....

As far as reflecting light, I use those reflectors that you buy for your car to keep it from heating up in the summer. They're made from a mylar-like material and are very cheap. I think I paid like $4.50 for mine.

well, were all done finally. sorry its been so long since the last post. we ended up with about 5 ounces. the northern lights is some good stuff.

it was less successful than i was hoping it would be but it was loads of fun and i cant wait to do it again. im helpin a buddy out right now with his indoor grow and i might start a journal for him.

any pics of the harvest? mine turned out male which is a bit of a bummer because it started perkin up real nice towards then end!

yeah man Colorado would b pretty hard to grow sativas outside without risk of frost. Im up in Canada and there is no way in HELL i would think about planting a sativa outside, our frost comes here around late september so theres just no way. Indicas and hybrids are great though, and thats pretty much what most of the weed is here in Canada. Sativas are hard to find usually, but if you kno good dealers they will sell you sativas for the same price as their indicas. 50 bucks a quad, 90 a half, and 160-180 an ounce, thats what we pay usually for DANK nugs. I kno a guy that sold me some chronic that he grew himself for 125 a zip. that was a good few days.
