Hey man I just joined the site, what's my best bet for keeping the deer away from my plants out in the woods behind my house. They LOVE pot plants. Any suggestions?

hey..i just joined cause I could use some help...I recently started to grow and over night the plant grew so close to the light that the leaves burnt and shriveled. this plant is just starting out and only has 2 sets of its beginning leaves. Is the plant still saveable?? If so should I just cut the burnt/shriveled leaves off??

Hi I have a question about watering.

I just transplanted (yesterday) three seeds I germinated. One each ina 14oz cup filled with black gold potting mix and perlite (2:1). I made sure the soil was moist, and mistde the dirt once I covered the seeds to "water them in". I want to know how much to water and how often?

Thanks so much!

Can someone please help me!

Will my seeds sprout if i have it in Miracle Grow Organic Choice soil lightly watered and in my computer case for warmth but with no light ? Same conditions as i germ-ed in. I cant seem to find a straight answer on what to do with plants i plan on growing outdoors after germination?

Any help highly appreciated! Thanks

They will be fine in the computer case, but they will have to have some sort of light sometime. Even if it is through a window or something or a small cfl, it is gonna need some light or it can't grow. Then when the roots are healthy enough to survive outside you can make the transfer. Hope this helps.

If i were you i would quit with the nutes, if you are fixing to harvest you need to start flushing right now. You need to flush all the nutes out of your plant for better smoke. Also your fan leaves will turn yellow and fall off that is part of it.

Your soil mixture is fine, and as long as your soil stays moist and doesn't dry out to terrible fast they are fine. It really depends on what type of lighting you are using. If you are just using CFLs or something like that then your soil won't dry out as fast because it doesn't put off that much heat, but if you are using a HID light then your plants might require watering more often than usual, and depending on how far you have your lights from the plant. You don't want your soil saturated just moist, so make sure you have good drainage and that it is just moist and you will be good to go.

The plant can still make it, just got to give it some time. It will probably have stunned growth because of this, but it will be ok. Just move the lights farther away from the plant, about 18-24 in. and keep the soil moist. You might also spray or mist to help out.

I know that they need light to grow eventually. But while they are in the soil waiting to sprout in my PC case do they need any light to sprout.

Or would it be fine if they sprout with no light in my PC then as soon as they sprout start leaving them in my window sill all day and bring in at night. Transplant to outdoor grow area after about 5-7 days of good rooting growth after sprout? Transplany from plastic cups to my 2 gal. buckets.

Thanks for the help Droski !!!! Much appreciated.

Hello there.... I hate to link to my post, but I don't want to repost into a new forum. Basically the problem I'm having stems from over-fert.

Summary- I had been giving the plants too much water, too often and in addition too much fertilizer, especially since they were already in pre-fert soil. I've now transplanted them from small pots with miracle grow soil (about the amount of dirt that would fit into 2 solo cups) into larger 3 gallon pots.

My Question is this:
Given that all the soil surrounding the repot is fresh organic unfert soil, because of that I have no idea how much water I should I flush with. I'm unsure about the amount and also plan to use a salt leaching solution.

Also- doesn't over-watering hurt the plants? Will I just put a ridiculous amount of water through the soil until it's saturated and then just let them dry out for a week and recover??

fat man however long u feel comfortable vegging them, it all depends on how big ur space is or how big u want them. Just make sure to wait to switch 2 12/12 until u see little pistals , the pre flowers, or youll stress them flowerin them to early . Id say 5-8 weeks in2 veg is great
ahh this is what ive been looking for...
so if i switch my plants to 12/12 before any signs of pre-flowers, thats going to cause stress to the plants, possibly causing more males?

ive grown about 5 times and ive always forced my plants into 12/12, ive always had good results until the very last time, i had 6 plants and 5 turned male. do you think that was a result of me forcing 12/12 too early? what to do if i am running out of room? ive already topped all of my tallest ones and im still having trouble
if it helps i have a journy with a few pics

thx ahead of time for any help, its greatly appriciated
