Here we go again; Blue Cheese & PowerKush

Sorry for the lack of updates. My camera broke so I had to RMA it which means I missed taking pics of the chop/drying. I also got a gnat problem around the same time too. 
I ended up using sand on the top of the soil which seemed to help but after I would water the sand would melt towards the bottom of the pot and thus allow the gnats to come back again and lay eggs again. Luckily I chopped the PowerKush before it got bad but the BC got bad so I had to chop it a bit early. Anyhow, here's the finished product.
PowerKush:
This pic was taken after a little over a week cure. It's got the usual skunky smell but definitely has a bit of a fruity undertone to the smell. The taste is fruity and mellow and the stone is crazy couchlock. It's the type of smoke that makes you stupidly stoned and all you want to do is chill out and watch TV or play video games. It's also great for smoking up right before going to bed.
Blue Cheese:
As I mentioned before the BC was chopped a bit early due to the gnat problem. I figured it's better to chop early than risk smoking a bunch of small gnats in my bud. When it was chopped it was 90% cloudy and no amber. It has been curing for about five days but some of the buds smell A LOT like spearmint gum. Unfortunately there's not much of a taste yet and still has a lot of that "hay" smell. I'm hoping it cures better. As far as the high goes, it's very pleasant already and really different than the PK. It's a speedy high and a great wake-and-bake smoke. It's great for walking the dog in the woods or playing the guitar.
Between both plants I got 1oz 10grams. Nothing amazing but considering the mistakes I made and the gnat problem I had I'm happy. It's pretty cool having two strains with vastly different "highs".
My next grow I'm getting another 150 HPS and I'm going to grow a single BC under 300 watts of HPS. I plan on vegging it for 30 days too. However, I'm first taking a break for a few weeks. I want to make 100% certain those gnat bastards are gone.

wow man that powerkush looks amazing,
i got a freebie from DNA Genetics,
i just cloned my powerkush (feminized),
still hasnt rooted but as soon as it roots it will go under 1000 watt hps for flowering,
i hope my powerkush looks like that hahah.
