Hermie? Dream Lotus From Seed

Pretty sure one of my Dream Lotus plants hermied... but I'm posting it here for a couple reasons...

One, because I've never had a plant hermie before and want confirmation; but mostly because the plant has had 0 stress and has grown in damn near optimal conditions... and it is a regular seed... not feminized. So I am a little disappointed.

You may not be able to see well in the pictures, but I assure you there are female pistols popping everywhere. The balls in question are in the center of the pictures.

Ah man, dont show me this. I have 8 females out of 11 beans and have high hopes for them. Will be watching what happens very closely now. Thx.

Here's a couple things. You can try removing the sacks and spraying the plant with reverse + saturator from dutch masters exactly according to the reverse instructions. If that doesn't work, I would cut that motherfucker down and not clone it. I probably wouldn't clone it either way.

The last thing to keep in mind is that Blueberry genetics are notoriously hermie-friendly and hard to stabilize. Of the three plants I have had herm on me, all three had a blueberry in their genetics. They were DJ Short's Blue (amazing clone, beast yielder, but hermed at least once on most people I knew who grew it), Killing Fields F3 (5 females from 8 seeds, one super prone to stress herming), and Cali Connections Blue Dream Haze, which was a herm right out of the fucking gate. If you grow a strain with some blueberry in it, you are just running a slightly higher than normal rate of getting some kind of intersex behavior prone phenotype. It sounds like you got 3 good females, so just keep those.

If you can, try to get in contact with the b-man over on breedbay on his forum section and let him know about it.

That Snow Lotus has blueberry in its background lineage as well...

Totally forgot about that. According to Bodhi the blockhead that was used had no sweet tooth traits present, but they are probably lurking around deep in that gene pool. Breeding it with another plant with blueberry in its genetics would possibly bring them out in selected phenotypes.

Dank as fuck and tastes like magic in a vape, but I had 1 of 8 hermie at 12/12 flip through no fault of my own. Mine had lots of fox tailing too.

Not complaining at all, just sayin they ain't perfect.

I just cut them down Friday, they are drying now. I plan to run White Lotus in the next grow or two.

nice work guys. you can really see the influence of the bd clone in mal's top pic, 2easy looks to have a little more snow lotus in his pheno. not that that is at all a bad thing.

Did any other killing fields herm or just that one?

Not sure if they are male balls or swelled calyx w no pistils. Guess ill find out in a couple weeks.

Did you chop it or wait a while for confirmation? I know that the bracts that form at the nodes will often look like early male flowers and make me more vigilant for a week. Usually they end up swelling into nice individual flowers seemingly without pistils. A killing fields girl was just in question two weeks ago, but it turns out she's all woman. It's also hard to see the flowers in the first pic.

Your finished plants look great btw.

nah, all my other kf seem pretty stable. all lady parts so far, and i'm on my third run with them.

actually i think mals looks exactly how i expect mine to tunr out maybe minus the purp. i would love it if mine purped like that but i just dont know if it will. that is stunning

Most blue/purp plants don't change until later in flowering, but some can change to purp calyx from around the begin of flower.

Hey Clankie question for you since you use Dutch master Reverse as well. In my recent flowering run I had some issues with extrema. It was rough at first one dud. Then in about less than 2 weeks into bloom all 4 extremas hermed. I applied reverse all reversed but one so I had to cull it out. My question is have you ever have Reverse not work? Thanks in advance for a reply. And get this I put in my two cents at Sannies but was not bad mouthing. Actually was commending them on the beauty of the extremas and mad shack. It didnt make it to the review section it got weeded out lol.
