Hermie's?

So just noticed 2 of my plants in flower are shooting out pollen sacks but only on the bottom growth of the plant. Why Is that?

Can't take pics now they are cut down but I was just wondering. one pollen sack was open on the herm so hopefully the one actual female didn't get pollinated
