so its dirt and a cup?
Someone understands how to get to the point on this thread! In essence yes, compared to all those expensive cloner units I get as good if not better results. Could save people $100's of dollar, thought would be beneficial to share (something that saves $100's and roots in 4-8 days and can be used for OMRI organic certified farms.) Would have saved me over $1000 in all the 120 aeroclone units and cloning solutions/dips Ive bought in the past.

I was being genuine, would love to know your method bc I too want to save money!

Ive tried this a few times, but only got a 60% success rate and the plants weren't as vigorous as the ones i did using clones and rooters.

i used aloe gel mixed in water to soak the stems before I plant into the soil. have the same humidity dome and tray. maybe bc I tried to go straight into solo cups is my problem? what is your soil mix as well. what temps do you keep them at? how much light?

thanks

can u explain your method?
Cut branch about 4-5" tall, trim off all nodes and leaves except top2 or 3, trim 1/3 of leaf tips off. Dip in OMRI listed liquid kelp, make hole with chopstick, place into coir; let the stem come out of the bottom so there is 1/2" coming out the bottom/in open air (this is where rooting starts in 4 days.) Put in tray, mist once, put on dome with heat mat under it set at 78-80F. Ideally cooler air temps 68-72F The coir IS compressed into the cubes not hard but slightly firm. Don't touch anything come back in 4-7 days and look at roots. Completely hands off for the first 4-7 days. Maybe need to H2O with plain RO at 7-9 days if it got too dry. The roots make the coir form into a cube and it can be pulled out to be used as a rockwool cube would be.

yes please with that percentage sucsess rate and 1.5 - 2 lb a plant you must be growing outside or have one hell of a factory unit to light up
10 years of daily experience in all sizes and type of grow ops, including a singlespan $10,000,000 4 acre hydroponic greenhouse. I do go overkill on light, but why not? Im a legal grower, my bills can be high and there's no issue... Right now not concerned with how many watts, I want to see how much can be produced in 16ft2 with one plant indoors. Even with a 400Watt light I pulled 500g from a 2x4' space; that one did surprise me I will say, and warrants further investigation as Ive never yielded like that before GPW wise. When you have many 1000Watt units in one room, the overlap of lighting footprint creates huge boots in growth.

I must have missed that thread. Admins should pin it.

When I joined this forum I read alot of the recent posts, and I felt most of them had claims and tips of getting 1.5-2lb per light in them. Not sure how you missed it tbh. Renfro right away in one of the threads posted about it, and his grow posts show what to do. There are others too. Veg for a long ass time (~3months), give roots extra space, put up a big light or 2 and grow the plant healthy. There's your 1.5lb per 16ft2. If you have specific questions let me know

Solo cups are big, it can work as long the the temperature in the media is at 78-82F. No aloe, use liquid kelp. It works great as a natural rooting stimulant. Straight OMRI coco, about 25-50watts of florescent for the whole flat, or 13-25watt for half flat, like pictured.

thank u. I use kelp for foliar. have noticed healthier clones when I hit them with a squirt or two of that during their rooting phase. one of my friends just suggested I try it during cloning process, will definitely give that a shot.

ill try just coir in smaller seed trays. I was going straight into soil in cups thinking maybe there was too much volume as well as too much nutes already in the soil.

Coir has minimal nutes (only what is added during charging) and has very high O2 levels; will probably work better than soil. Dont feed with kelp or itll be too strong, just dip freshly cut branch in it. Once in dome dont need to do anything until there are roots. Can mist/H2O once at 5-9 days if you think its needed, but use plain H2O.

I see you’re getting 60 pounds off 8 plants now a year later. Care to share your methods, with pictures of coarse too?

which is why I posted this cloning method showing that with basically nothing you can make a ton a product. used to have 3 120 unit ez cloners, but why? bet you'd think I was the bees knees if I showed you those pics of 3 filled ez cloners from 8 years ago; but since I used my brain to make more out of less, save a ton of money, and make it available to those who are less fortunate than I; its not that cool... hmmm
