Hey everyone - 1st Grow - 125w 2700k + 30w 6400k CFL

Hey everyone,

About to start my first CFL grow, just a couple of autoflower Lowryder Easyryders in a pc-case. Have read loads over the last weeks and have it nailed down. The proposed setup is below, just wanted to get any tips/pointers from all you veterans out there.

Case (w-h-d) 40cm x 50cm x 20cm (around 1 sq foot) The case is completely covered in diamond mylar. with one 80mm intake on the front at the bottom and a 120mm exhaust on the back at the top.

Lights (I have a home-made reflector made from diamond mylar for the big red spectrum 125w and will follow 18/6 throughout.)
1 x 125w CFL (2700k) - 7000 Lumens
1 x 30w CFL (6400k) - 1400 Lumens

Total Lumens - 8400 p/sqf (obviously the light will have to be as close as possible to the plants to get all the benefit of this)

Soil
Biobizz All-mix Soil (20L)

Nutrients
Biobizz Bio Grow (500ml)
Biobizz Bio Bloom (1L)

Pots - Going to go for a 2 gallon pot per plant but will probably have to build this myself from ice-cream tubs or something due to the 20cm depth issue in the pc grow.

So that's about it. I'm hoping for 1.5oz dry between the 2 plants - should be 9 weeks including curing? Cheers and fingers crossed

Your set up sounds great!! Everything sounds fantastic and you should have a nice grow. The only concern i have is the size of your pots. The rule is a gallon per month your plant is alive. So yes you have auto plants so they will only be alive for 2 months but that is the bare minimum. I would look into getting 2, 3 gallon pots, That way if they do want to grow larger, they have the room. You want to grow these to there full potiental not just the minimum. Other then that great job. Yes should be about 9 weeks including your curing. They say 60-80 days for auto's depending on the strand, but isee them being done week 8. So it might be 10 weeks all together. Hope this helps and good luck!!

I have 17 auto's right now :P

they wont be ready for harvesting in 9 weeks, autos take about 75-90days usually, drying few days and curing 3weeks+

3gallon pots in a PC case? u on crack?? Those bitches will grow right out the top lol. Just make one big tray or find a bin that fits in the bottom, it keeps it low and roots spread all the way across. Remember when space is limited its all up to pot size to determine how big it can get. Have fun and happy growing!

Yeah okay, i missed the PC case part lol. Yeah best bet would to find a bin, high enough for the roots to keep the plant staanding up but low enough so your plants will still be covered. Thanks for the correction umbrellacorp and no im not on crack

Thanks guys, I bought 2 x 1.6L pots that fit snugly but are quite tall - gonna have to scrog big-time! Will keep you all updated.
