Yes it makes sense. When you top you force bottom branching. Which causes multiple tops , more you do more tops you get. If you don't top main top takes over and grows taller than rest, side branching takes a little longer to grow without topping. Imo.

Ok because I am getting ready to switch. To flower. So what do I want? Should I cut the main top? And force the growth the the lower or just let do its thing now ? do I it leave now. Because it’s to late?

I have cut off everything that’s less then a 1inch pretty much

Its upto you, what you want lol

I like to give em a week to recoup after topping before flip.

I Fill screen, tie down tops to the net then flip

If your about to flip don't cut your top. If you top right before you flip its not going to increase lower branching and your just loosing your biggest bud at this point. If you top wait another week or 2

Ok I did it. But I’m thinking I need another net and a co2 bag. Do I need the co2?
No, little grows dont need co2. Just let it grow for another week-10 days, train the branches so they are "even" in height, and flip to flower. How much space does she have? It will grow 2-3 times its size after you flip to 12/12.

So afraid of pulling it down. I snapped a couple But they are growing great. Do you use 2 nets?
Learn supercroping. You pinch the stem and bend it over without "snapping" it. It will heal and continue to grow, stronger than before.

This one was supercroped a little late but you get the idea...

Sounds like the net is too close to the soil.
18" space between the soil the net is best imo

You need to top the plant a few times, so you can get the plant very bushy and then lower the net over the plant, it will holds all the bud sites in place, hope the shoots grow a good 6" above the net for the best havest.

Like a fruit tree, thinning out the shoots will increase airflow which will give you a better harvest.
