i'm 56, started in 77, smokin shit brick weed, then my friends older brother came home on leave from the navy with a duffel bag of good weed he said he got in the philipines, which he left most of to us when his leave ended. we stayed high close to a year on that shit

Yep. The green thumb bug bit me, too. I can kill literally any houseplant in record time, but my girls get fawned over day and night.
The pot shops here in Virginia can't legally open till '24, when they will start selling their commercially produced weed for $20 a freaking gram. They will never see red cent of my money.

i hear ya,, smoking your own is so much more satisfying,,, Oregon has cheap weed in aboundance now, sure there are levels of quality, but dang you can buy 4 dollar grams all day long, and pre rolled joints extracts and vape stuff too, drive past one shop because the next has a better deal, the glut of weed and shops has really driven the price down here,, the state just takes a tax of the total sale,, but doesnt set any prices ,

I definitely like smoking my own. That being said there are amazing growers out there and I don't mind supporting the community from time to time...in Oklahoma, where it's affordable lol.

Over 50 and closer to 60. Oklahoma also....love the 1980s prices we have now but hate it for our commercial growing buddies.

Meant to say I know that a breeder named Useful Seeds has been trying to bring back a strain called 79 Christmas Tree Bud. He gave away a bunch of seeds as freebies at DC Seeds and I'm not sure but I think you can still find some for sale. It was a very slow vegging squat indica with a pine smell. Mostly around at Christmas time on the East Coast when I was in college. I loved it but it was so slow to veg.

53, my first sampling was at 13, been dabbling when I was in an area it was safe(reasonably) and now we have been freed to start really appling all the little bits you learn from sporadic attempts to make it back to your ladies before they were havested by the misinformed or morally challenged. Running at a horizon that would reveal that treasure chest hiding that elusive, skunky, fruity pebble, sticky snack we all love.

Was just remembering all the cyclical dry spells we would go through back then, either because not enough was grown the season before, or the cops were having a field day busting us all across America.......
Now, I am trying to think of the last time I had a day of not smoking weed and simply can't recall, it's been about 15 years I guess......

Born in '52, was very cheezed off when weed went from 10.00$ to 12.50$ per ounce. The sixties are gone for good don't look back, somthing might be gaining on ya.

And here thought $50 a quarter was a great price when I actually started purchasing in 1980. Now everyone wants $20 a gram. So glad it is legal for me now.
