Hi,

I have 6 plants in my 4x4 closet, they are in week 10 of veg and I was reading up and came across some info about spider mites so I checked and their was some. Right away I went online and seen to use dawn dish soap and water. My girlfriend said the internet said 5 table spoons of soap to 4 cups of water mix well and spray. So I did. Than I went reading and their was a tonne of info so I called my local hydroponic shop and they had me come buy end all so I did. I followed the directions on the bottle. Now the leaves are turning yellow and some are getting crispy...... How do I fix or can I? Thank you in advance

I made the same mistake and flushed with pH correct water and set the light to lower power of about 25-30k Lux because of the stress. They rebounded. I highly recommend an IPM strategy. I use azamax treatments every few weeks in veg and then a couple of systemic treatments in flower, and even got one of those ultrasonic pest control units. It seems like pests are gone for now after about a month. As us old people say, "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure".

Thanks I appreciate the info harsh or not as I am new. Once I got on this forum I realized the dish soap was way to much after reading people only use a tea spoon or two. I flushed them yesterday morning I've removed the dead leafs and Im gonna let the soil dry up n see what happens.

Their under a 1000watt led
Im betting that "1000w led" is much closer to 200w. Led lumbers are wildly exaggerated. I know they look like hell because they are covered in soap, but they dont look like they were doing great to begin with.

This is one from my current run at 8 weeks from the day i planted the seed and i was actually pretty disappointed in her health at this point.

A different one of my girls, 9 weeks, 1 week into the 12/12 cycle.

Anyway, point is, you plants are super small for 10 weeks and im positive the biggest reason is that your light sucks.

So it's a 1000 watt Aponuo LED. What ever that is because I understand now they don't push out a true 1000 watts.its supposed to mimic the sun. It has 4.5 stars on Google for reviews out of 206 reviews. The space I'm working with is 4ft 9inch W x 4ft 9inch D x 6ft H.

Yeah.... Real Wattage: 200W
that light is only good for about a 2'x2' area. maybe 2.5x2.5. I knew they looked light hungry.
They pay people to write fake reviews on cheap ass led lights. If you wanted to use this for your succulents or spider plants, it would be great for a 4x4 area. for weed, your going to need at least 4 of them for a space like yours.

Oh wow what crooks haha Ok as you notice I'm not to internet friendly but thanks for the heads up. I was gonna say if they didn't work I have 6 seedlings started that look like their worth giving a shot. Seeds out of an oz of Grease Monkey weed I bought. Hard dark seeds with tiger like stripes

Pretty much all the cheap led boards are overrated junk. When they say "1000w equivalent" i think they are meaning it puts out as much light as 10 100w incandescent light bulbs. Or maybe they are saying they put out as much light as a 1000w edenpure heater. Who knows. Your definitely going to need a MAJOR light upgrade to fill up the space you are growing in.
