hide trap door..

i'm starting a new house soon.. it's 35ft x 30ft and i'm dedicating 12'x30' space for 3 rooms to grow in.. i have all my equip researched and when the house is done i'll use some of the left over money to buy it.. i was intending on having the trap door leading to the secret room in the basement in my bedroom in the closet.. the door is going to be 2.5' x 2.5' how would i disguise the door that's in the floor... i will build the house myself so no worry about the contractors knowing.. the basement part with the room will be seperated by a 8" concrete wall so that if questioned it looks like the end of the basement.. the basement ceiling will be 8" high.. i will use steep stairs in the grow part to gain acess.. but the only thing that i can't figure out is the trap door and how to hide it "incase" of police showing up with a warrent to search.. i need some new ideas and help to get this done.. thanks and

Just put a rug over it thats pretty easy

what if they bring a sniffer dog ? won't matter then.

you should put a air lock between the door and room so they cant smell it plenty of ozone too i think.

rig it with hydrualics with a controller so you have to hit a switch to make it open and you cannot just open it by pulling up you must have a switch,so you can lock someone in or lock someone out

make the whole closet floor like a dumb waiter.

I would guess that if they come with a warrant they are going to find what they are looking for even if they have to plant it themselves. Probably no need to worry too much about hiding it.

You planned out this entire operation and how everything was going to be setup but you cant determine how to hide a measly door?

the thing is with secret doors is you have to think of how to hide it yourself and tell noone what you did ;p

but the trick is to remember how to open it up after you didn't tell anyone.

I still like the hydraulic rams attached to cement walls, it's going to seem permanent to anyone without X-Ray vision.

put a bookcase that spins around into the closet with the trap floor board when you pull a book, may i recommend the cannibis grow bible lol

what kind of flooring are you going to have in the houes and the closet. if you have 3/4" tongue and groove wood flooring the boards would have a staggered pattern. you could just remove the tongue's off some of the planks and have kind of a puzzle piece you set over the hatch door. just make sure your hinges are flush with the sub floor or it will not set flat and look permanent. just a thougt

lol thats funny! I was just thinking the same thing. I have the eBook and read it all in one day. Its definitely a good read! I too, recommend the Cannibis Grow Bible.

i will have a room where i ender under the trap door.. this will be smell proof.. when i go into the room i will have a clean smelling agent that i can spray to get rid of the smell.. i will have the trap door also sealed off to stop smell... i think i will put carpet in this room so i can hide it better...

my plan was when i was going down to open the trap door an then get on a set of steps once on the steps close the trap door.. then walk down the stairs to another door.. this door will be a normal inside door that is sealed off from the rest of the rooms.. each room that i build in the 12x30 space will be pittoned off with a permanent wall.. the veg room,flowering room and the drying/fridge room... each will have it's own door that can be locked and i will have a rubber seal on each to prevent as much smell that leaves as posable.. the air will be passed from the veg room to the flowering room to the drying room by fans.. in the drying room i will have a fan that leads out from that room into a carbon filter... the filter will be in the 5ft hall/walking area that goes from room to room outside each door...https://www.rollitup.org/attachments/grow-room-design-setup/226656d1225067306-design-basement-new-house-design.jpg <<<<--------- Image Link for posable design

what you need is a rock out in the middle of the woods. under it will be a trap door leading to a tunnel. from there will be a lockout chamber where you can keep out the outside ambiance and microbiology. Of course if you really believe that the popo can csi Miami your house it doesn't really matter. realistically if you hide any trap door well they're gonna have to be looking for a dead body to catch you.

I've thought about carpet, but I have seen cops rip it up in closets looking for safes and such. Perhaps a "built in shelving unit" in the closet that swings open one way or another. Oh wait idea. built in shelving unit that is on hidden vertical rails, you have to lift the whole unit to reveal door in floor.
