Hiding it from parents

Hey guys, right now I am growing in my closet (hiding the plants from my mom) and I was wondering if anyone has gotten caught growing by their parents. And what was their reaction and your consequences..

Also, if you successfully harvested without getting busted, what did you use to cover up the odor? Thanks :blsmoke:
 
grow outdoors if anything, my buddy got caught and was lucky had liberal parents who just threw out the plants. i really wouldnt do it, i see it as disrespectful. wait til its the season or you have your own place it is worth the wait.

Step 1 to avoid being caught: don't grow at home if parents are cohabitating.
Step 2: achieve age 18.
Step 3: See your doc. and get a rec.
Step 4: Move out. (could reverse 3 and 4 but moving's easier stoned.)
Step 5: Who cares? You're out of the house with a permit to grow.
 
ya brotha be careful becuase people on here will not approve of growing in your parents home. There have been a few previous threads like this and they ripped the guy for it. You could get your mom into lots of trouble man. I mean to each his own and do what ya want, but my advice if thats what your asking for is ditch the plants. If its that secret of a grow than more than likely the bud wont be worth it anyway. And you wont cover up the smell without proper equipment. Just ditch em man and grow outdoors like said above. Or get a job and get your own house and quit growing in your parents. No offense

i just read some girls moms dad found a plant in the room
and called the cops on her for a single plant
now shes getting charged with felony counts of cultivation from some bumfuck town in some bumfuck state
 
don't do that shit.
your mom is kind enough to let you live there.
technically, the house could be seized and your mother thrown in jail if the cops found out.
what happens then..?
 
how would you feel if your buddy got busted for having some coke in the car & claimed it was yours & you went to jail for it? anything growing in her house is her problem & she will get charged w/ it.
depending on your state & the cop involved,they may weigh the plants w/ rootball & dirt attached at the scene.this happenned to my uncle many yrs ago. 2 plants weighed in at 6 lbs, felony charges and a big lawyer bill along w/ a night in jail.at court the weight dropped to a few grams of premature bud and charges dropped but that was after a few months of sweating & a few grand to a lawyer. would you want to do that to your mother?
I lived w/ my parents till mid 20s and would not even bring more than an oz into their house(in my state,over an oz became a felony)
I have 2 adult children,20 & 22, both started getting high around 16. both were told that I didnt condone it at that age but I could be blind & dumb so I would not notice the room full of potsmoke as long as they were discreate. after graduating,I started smoking w/ them & giving them bags. when I got into an arguement w/ the oldest at 20(she wouldnt get a job or go to school) she threatend to call the cops on my grow. it was torn down in 15 minutes & she was out of the house within the hour.and she is still not welcome here. I would have reacted the same if I found her growing w/out my knowledge. it may sound harsh but the penalties I face for her stupidity will be as well.
do I sound like a mean prick? consider this, my 20 yr old is currently driving my classic 77 bandit TA till she can get her car back on the road & every friend she has wants to move in w/ us. the oldest had her boyfriend living here b4 she was tossed.(seperate bedrooms-sharing a bed is a privlege reserved for adults who support themselves) the terms? go to college or work& pay rent -$75 a week,$50 of it goes into a savings account for you to buy a house or for education.( btw, room & board includes some bud.)

show a little respect & keep it outside till you have your own place.

Yea, like 17 years ago. They made me throw it away, and I had to rake the yard in to perfection, and then pull every weed on about a 2 acre piece of property. Good times. My parents don't condone smoking, but they both did in high school and college. I use to have place between two buildings that I would smoke at night because it was pitch black, and my dad use to have a bad habit of walking up on me, ninja style, and getting about 3 ft from me and say "whatcha doing?" The first time, I ate the entire joint in about .2 seconds, and he laughed at me because he already knew what I was doing. So, I had to find a new spot.

my very first grow, I used the fact that it was winter to deal with odor. It's harder to smell things when it's cold and nobody really came near where I was growing. I also kept people away from my house. I would always go meet them if they wanted to hang out. My first couple of grows were very ballsy and looking back on it, I really don't know how I never got caught. I did it right under everyones nose.
 
well......my stealth grow.....hmm, my mommy and daddy know ive got the plant and know its budding in a box in my room(but they dont know the light is there), they see it as just a bit out of the ordinary. lol i think they are ok with it aslong as im not doing anyone any harm, i keep it in my locked bedroom,...out of sight out of mind. For some reason my plant has no smell. the blue cheese plant i have is starting to get a smell so i will probably just start to open my window a little or burn some incense...if they really disagree, tell them how it is better than drinking alcohol.. i really dont like drinking....oh and im 19. and the plant started on my window sill back in june and they have basically seen it from the start...
 
My mom and dad know about my grow, but not how much I smoke. They are pretty liberal, if you know they grew up in the 60's and listen to the beatles and the who and all the classics then you might be able to get away with it.
 
my mom didnt care but my dad is a cop and he was a bit upset.....get your own place, its hard to get a decent grow on with you lookin gover your shoulder all the time!!
 
if your gonna do it be str8 up with her and ask her. BUT i guess that depends on what their personality is but best bet is to get permission . so you wont feel so worried 24/7 that ur shits gonna be thrown out after months of work. its a load off of your shoulders ..ive been there
 
Man, you guys must have some really strict parents to be saying all that stuff. I didnt want a morals lesson, I wanted to know if you got caught and what happened. My mom and dad both smoke weed on an occasion, so I think if my mom finds it, she'll either, A: Kill it or B: Wait for the buds to be gone and seize it. Either way that sucks, but might as well try/
 
lol never grow in the parents house unless they alo ya to.!

hmmm i live with me father im 19 and he like ok go and grow three plants if ya want to so ya

HAHA yes i wanted to find a thread like this ,ur most likely gonna get caught if they kn what pot smells like your plants will stink unlesu get a good exhuast system i got caught when i was 14 ,came home from a blunt ride to find all my babies on my kitchen tabel ,first word from my mom what is this? corse my stomchs in a knot i said idk im sorry lol ,.............4 years later i had my mom standing next to all 3 of my outdoor 6 footers lol ,just depends how strict ur parents are really , hope u dont get caught bro
