what I have learned over the yrs is if flopped like that leave it be,do more damage trying to lift unless you got eight hands.

4 actually, my brother helped. That's the first thing I did around 7:15 this morning. I have some bird netting, I'm going to use it as a support, replace the twine that's there right now. The stakes are okay, but they aren't tall enough or strong enough. Especially as the wind hasn't stopped.
On a closer inspection all the wilted parts are from the same big side branch, above the break, below are fine.

Don't stress out too much about it. It's amazing what electrical or medical tape, and some rope can do......

I haven't done anything but put in a couple more stakes, and some twine to keep it upright. Bad day, and I was pretty pissed off. I'll be putting up the netting tomorrow morning.

I get knocked down, i get up again..
It happened to me last year..... 19th Sept. It took a battering.
I Staked it back up and gave it a good soaking of water as the ground was very dry from the warm winds.
They're as hard as nails.
Here it is on the 3rd of October, 2 weeks after I tied and staked it up.

@CanadianJim I would give it a good watering as it looks very dry and wilted in your noon update.

The ground is still soaked from the storms the night before in that pic, and that is the one branch that hadn't started to perk up. It's only starting to dry now, and dew slowed that down. Winds last night made it a non-issue anyway. Snapped it the rest of the way off. The upper part of the break was dry yesterday evening, and when I went out this morning the branch was hanging from the supports I had rigged. Trimming now with a cup of coffee. 3 mature seeds so far, and 4 light tan ones. Smells like sweet lemons.

Hopefully she pulls through! Should be some roots attached to her.
60% might die off but as long as they’re roots it will survive.

She's standing, and after that one branch came off the rest of the plant is doing well. I'll have to support her for the rest of the season, but small price to pay.
And it's raining now, so won't have to worry about watering. Should help her grow some new roots on the weak side.
