Highest effeciency but affordable driver for CXA 3070's?

I'm planning on buying 4 Cree cxa 3070 AB bins and am looking for the best driver to power them. I know the Mean Well LPC-60-1400 will work well but I've heard there are cheaper drivers with higher effeciencies. Any recomendations?

Much appreciated! :tiphat:

It depends what current you want to run them at. It would work to put all 4 in series on a 143V 1.4A max meanwell which will allow you to run somewhere between 900-1200mA depending on
Vf. (probably more around 1A) As Tc warms up, Vf drops and current goes up.

I'd like to run them at 1400ma or higher. Maximizing lumens is important and I'm not too worried about power usage or burning the lights out as I'll replace them within the year with the next model up.

Thanks for the help though! :)

Anyone have thoughts on the mean well 1750's? Too high or would they run great with proper cooling (alpine 11 plus heatsinks)

I run mine at 1600mA and the air from the fins of the alpine 11 plus are 88 degrees. I think it will keep the CXA cool but your grow room will heat up fast. I do not worry about heat unless it is over 90 so I got lucky!

I went ahead and ordered the 1400ma's. Seem to be the best/most reliable bet!

How are the LED's on those bulbs? Real cheap set.
