This light in my 4x4 area is intense af. It comes with no owner manual, you have to assemble it without physical instruction. My question is to anyone that has found success with this light. Can you please tell me the distance your hanging your light from your plants during veg and flower....I’m at 40 inches away and one of my plants seem to be struggling. I need a par meter....

There should be an instructional vid on their site for assembly.

But I guess you figured it out already.

Rough idea of hanging height.

Veg - 50% power at 20-24"
Flower 100% power 24-16"

Make sure your temps are 80+ f

You might get better answers in the diy with quantum board thread.

What are your temps/rh? You need to stay over 81F.

They look a bit sad but not really in light stress, id say they arent transpiring: environment related. Ledds needs higher temps than hps andd better control over rh.

Would you suggest similar settings and distance for FStrip lights? I’m building two 4 strip lights, each powered by an XLG-240-H-AB, for my 4x4 tent. I’ve been trying to figure out the levels and distance I should start out with.

No, it really depends on how many strips your using and which size to the amount of power your pumping through them . 4 strips would be running hard and need to be a bit further away, 16 strips would be really soft and could be run inches above plants.

Im not the right guy for that question though, maybe @f series or @Rocket Soul could give you a better idea. I only have one low wattage strip build and I don't really use it, all my lights are boards apart from one cob set up.

I would be guessing im afraid.

Thanks, I appreciate it! I know the design I went off of is using 6 strips in a 4x4 so I was thinking I could run 8 a little softer if necessary.

My strips are rated 22w, I run them at 10 and have them anywhere from 12 inches to 20 inches.

If I run them near 20 watts I have them 18-24 inches.

Regardless, it mainly depends on the plants response.

That's my guideline.

Good luck

Question the temp and rh, are you reading them at the plant? Or do you have a hygrometer towards the top of the tent.

Hey man the light is bright af. When vegging (I have it in a 4.5 x 4.5 tent) I dim it to 350 and keep it at 36inches and still see a tiny bit of stress on new growth but they seem to adjust. Remember some strains can seemingly take as much light as you can give and others fry. Here is a current view of my 600, running 350W and is about 35 inches away. You can see the one in the middle(putang by mass medical strains) showing a little stress but still growing strong

Today I just got a hydro farm par meter! Thank god. I lowered the intensity of my light to 340-350 par range. I’m sure I was well over 1000 ready to burn the fuck out of my plants. There is absolutely no way to know without a par meter. I’m about 32 inches but I got the shit dimmed down enough so it’s not stressful. It’s my 2nd grow. Turning my Ls into lessons.
