Holiday Project help

Hey hows it going, first off love the form being reading a lot, and trying to plan my first grow.
I bought a hydro kit off ebay, and can't figure out what kind of hydro system it is or if it will be big enough. The kit came with a plastic storage container with 8 holes for eight plants drilled in, rock wool, air stone, a pump, and rocks. The rubber hose connects to the pump and then the connects in the container. The container only measures; 15"L, 13"w, and 5.5" deep. Would that be enough space for 8 plants. And can I grow my plants from start to measures in this kind of system?

The second question I had was I also bought a 400w HPS sun system, can I grow the pants from germination to flowering, or should I use germination for germination and Veg. and the HPS just for flowing?

I'am planning on buying a premade closet germination to build a gor box and was wondering with this kind of set up do I have just one room with the HPS and the hydro kit. Or should I have separate chambers for Veg. and flowering, involving two kinds of lights, and transplanting the plants from Veg. into the hydro system I bought.

Thanks for any help.

Its nice to have two seperate chammbers one dedicated to each stage but sometimes for different reasons we cant. A combo of both colors would be good thru out its growth. If I could id run both red and blue the whole season I would. You might not wanna do the whole 8 "experts say" "you should have 1 plant per 1sqf (square foot)."

I thought that would be too small a space, especially if I have to separate the roots of the males and females. I think I might go with the hempy bucket system in a two chamber set up. Unfortunately the 400w I have has the ballast attatched and I hear the heat up hot. Well time to plan some more.

Are you going to be breading? if not no need to separate anything. Just cut the males at the ground and be done with them.

It's a bubble system for starting plants. plastic storage cont. is a rez. the roots live in water and the air stone gives the roots o2.
