home built under current DWC...

whats upppp.... new here to growing as well... money was burning a hole in my pocket so i decided to make something. i dont know shit about plumbing.. i probably made it harder for myself than it should have been but oh well... figuring out how i was going to plumb this thing was the most stressful part.

still some things i need to go back to the depot for... thinking about ways to attach each reservoir so they will be able to be taken apart easily without to much force, but still keeping water in.. thinking of attaching each one together using these....



i did use silicon to seal the main connections... seems tight but who knows i may have to do some additional sealing haha... any input appreciated.

how big of a pump are you going to use?

those things you have pictured would be good. Just need a 5/16 nut drive to tighten/ loosen them up. Even a union would work, but i think you've got the ticket with what you have pictured. To use those bands you need a little bit of a lip going just a little past the metal ring. 2'' one would be fine. From the looks i take it theres going to be a pump in the big bin pumping through the smaller top pipe and filling smaller bins and eventually circulating through till its back where it started?

475 gallons per hour pump.... im gettin em today!

The more air you put in your water the better off you are. For exp look at http://www.ezclone.com/products/120-unit-cloning-system/ the roots don't sit in the water and there still adding air.

yes eventually i will put airstones in before i run it.... actually am going to have to switch some things up... almost completely. ill keep updated.

your system is looking good, but one thing.. you should'nt use silicone to seal the pipes to the bins.. eventually it will come loose and leak.. i use uniseals http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/store/2-uniseal-bulkhead-alternative.html
get uniseals and your system will be solid..

finally, back after a bunch of reworking. got ahold of some black 8 gallon square buckets and 2" uniseals...

how much water are you going to have in those buckets? a lot of them tend to bulge when you fill them! I had to empty my bin, wrap duct tape around it stop the bulging then fill it again.

ill put more flicks up when the room is finished and a little run thru video... wont be more than a couple days. things are finally coming together though. i ended up spending wayyy more than i should have just trying different things. these buckets are whatsup though.

Man wow! Clean setup for diy. What type of mag drive pump are you using? Where did you find the buckets?
