I Have a 8x4.5x6.6 grow tent and planed to run a soil drain to waste system. Did some shopping and realized i could not purchase a large enough table within my budget. So as always i simply fabricated one! I started with a piece of 4x8 particle board. Painted the whole board with a moisture resistant white paint. once dried i used liquid nails to attach a 4x8 piece of 1/8 thick white plastic wall board so the table surface is completely 100% water prof. Next i designed a frame structure out of 3/4 sch40 pvc for the board to sit on. Attached the board to the pvc frame using inexpensive half moon shaped clamps. next i purchased some white vinyl molding that was 1in x 1in angle and siliconed it down around the edges of the table to create a water tight seal around the sides and 1 end of the table. At the open end of the table i connected a vinyl gutter to catch run-off water. I implemented a decline into the design of the frame so run-off water will simply run down off the table and allow gravity to fill the gutter with excess run-off water. I then drain the gutter and wait till next feeding. All in all materials cost under $75 and i have a great drainage table. I originally built the frame to accommodate a reservoir for drainage but seeing how easy it is to pump out the gutter into the drain i am going to lower the table after my 1st harvest to gain a-little extra space in the tent.
