The bang for your buck is 600w mh and 600w hps that will get you the best watt per dollar. This will make your money go farther and yield the best dope.

Now if you don't have the money and need to go cheap then get the CFL's which seems to be the in thing right now.

If your any thing like me you'll do what you have to and learn from it. I'll never go back to work so next week I'm cleaning out the garage and have one big yard sale. So I'll be getting a heat buster with an enclosed hood with 2 600w mh and 1 600w hps becaus I want more potency than size. What I'm learnig is that your setup is real important to what kind of weed you want. My goal is to be a breeder. First I have to learn how to grow and how to re read the FAQ

if your going with homedepot go with the t12, they are 40 watt and will give you better results than the t8, as far as the ho t5 if that is your primary lighting your better off going with a mh or hps as the t5's can get very pricey but if your limited on space then t5's are the one to get, but if your diong a small mother and clones either the t5 or t12 will do you good, the t12 being the much cheaper option
