meta, that is a really great link. i have one newb question about it though, which way does the air go? does it go through the tubing and then through the filter? probably, i'm just a little stoned is all. also, where do you get one of those cotton air filters? thanks!

No problem, brother, thats the beauty of RIU and the shared knowledge available. But just keep in mind, it is WAY more efficient to use forced exhaust, creating negative air pressure. I just do it the idiot way because it was easier with what I had on hand. By the way, those are some STRAIGHT fucking cuts on that new box, did you use a straight edge cause my shit would be all zig zagging every which way if I tried to do that...lol...Looking good, like that cab, can't beat an 8 dollar price tag!

that's what i thought but wasn't positive. ok, autoparts store, got it. i guess that would work best with a pc fan? or do you think i could duct a 10" fan down so it goes through a tube that size? (what is it, 4"?) man i haven't thought this much about fans in, like, ever.

man i feel like i'm always one post behind! lol, this is so weird. but thanks for the compliments man. i used a CHEAP-ASS exacto-like knife i picked up at the uhaul store for like $1.29. what a piece of shit!!! the lock doesn't work so it kept sliding in and out. nevertheless, those were some fine cutting skills, i agree, lol. i drew lines with a ruler, measured everything precisely and cut carefully. no pot involved

alright, i'm just gonna accept this weird time warp thing going on. yes, good idea. i'm not much of a car expert, so it's good to know they come in different sizes lol. i think i'm gonna start with the cd idea with the trueairs, and if those aren't doing the job i'll probably build one of these filterinos.

Duct tape is God, I'm using Duck Brand Professional Strength Duct Tape at the moment, I tried Industrial(the next grade up) but I wasn't terribly impressed, I think the professional works just about the same, with 10 more yards on the roll. lol...gotta know your tape!

they have paper type round filters at walmart, you can just look at the boxes of auto air filters for a cone type, its really a good idea. but my problem would be that i have that 10" fan and 4 80mm fans up the one side for exhaust, thats why i got the true air to sit right outside the box.

Yeah, you totally gotta go with what works best for you. Thats part of why I love growing so much, we all have our own setups that are unique to our growing environments. Thats why I'm DIY all the way, who needs a store bought growbox to look like every other spoiled rich kid who wants to grow pot...lol...No, I'm not jealous, i swear...

and meta i can't remember what you said, oh yeah about duct tape. i don't know what i have, but it's excellent. and still have a lot left. it does exactly what i want, i can rely on it for everything, i can rip it perfectly in a line, and i even use it to keep the power cord down to the rug so it goes under the closet door easily. it's the shit! but i'll have to look into the professional one... maybe that's what i have, who knows?

no, the T A is just sitting outside the flower box on top of the veg box sucking all the odor up from that corner of the room, LoL. both boxes blow out under that computer desk, it all stays right in that corner.
