horse pooh mushrooms

im not understanding how this is done
this is what i have so far

you take some hp (horse pooh)
put it in a bucket of hot water over night
then you take the hp and some bird seed, (this is where i get lost)
and put a layer of each in a tote
then wait a few day then take the lid off the tote after you see knots
then just let it ste untill there ready

**now my questions are

is the hp what make the shrooms

what am i innoculateing the bird seeds with, thats are in the jars, or is this a step i can skip

could i just throw some hp in a tote with some bird seeds, layer it and grow some shrooms

is there some type of light that is needed for this grow

and whats in the syringes

do i even need them

Lol the shrooms are from the corn or birdseed or whatever that has been precolonised with fungi.
It just grows into the pooh from there...

Takeing pooh and adding corn is just gonna make fertiliser...

ok first you cook your jars inject them when they spawn you put them into the poo

the syringes hold spores and no you dont need them, the catch is you need to have fresh mushrooms to make a print with so really unless you have a friend that can hook you up you need atleast one

so why do i need the pooh

the poo expends you medium and there for your yield

think of it as bird seed is your rockwool plug and poo is you dwc system

see this is where i am lost
the spores are first abtained from elsewhere
then put in this system to breed them

what i am thinking is that the shrooms came from the hp like flipping cow pies

am i to understand the the pooh is only food for the shrooms

i thgought all i needed was some horse or cow shit then the shrooms would come from them

first time around try rice cakes it'll give you a better idea of what you are doing

I think I get what you are sayin. You can get the spores from the horse poop. When horses are grazing they will eat mushrooms by accident sometimes. the spores dont break down so when they poop the spores will grow mushrooms in the right conditions. The only variable is the type of mushroom that is available to the horse to eat. So you could get lucky with yours or you could be off. Id say its a one in three shot to get a good mushroom.
I could be way off but I think this is what you are talking about.

yeah 1 in 3 is waaay off unless your horse pasture has been seeded with the leftovers from the last grow.

im sure its varies dramatically between fields. ive never grown on purpose though, it's just what's there.
