Horsetail

Yes! It's amazing stuff. I fill a pot with horsetail and water. Boil for 1 hr. Let it steep over night. Then strain. I dilute it until it's a light tea colour and blast that pm. I have only seen benefits from the tea. Yet to see any bad effects from it. Mix in some aloe Vera goop to your mix also.
I have no clue on what the ph is for this stuff.

Sounds amazing !! Do you spray buds too? I am in 5 week flower and worried about budrot etc :)
I only have dried horsetail, that should work too right? You have recipe and how much should I dilute with water? Thanks!

I spray that stuff up to harvest.
I dilute it about 10 parts water , 1 part tea. If using outdoors, I'm always weary of bud rot this time if year. All but 1 of my outdoor plants have been harvested.
If using indoors, use at lights on for plants with dense flowers. And all other stages I'll use the spray at lights on and lights off.
And for the aloe Vera if available. Take a branch off the aloe, squeeze the pulp into some warm water, stir and mix into sprayer with diluted horsetail tea. This has worked for me, all trial and error. Not much error though as it all seems fairly well received.

Great my friend, thank you so much. I have 6 aloe plants , so thats awesome. Do you spray after a rain or before? I saw many threads saying you need a "sticker" (like dish soap or something to make it stick) but I am afraid its going to hurt the buds. And I really want to spray the buds, since my biggest concern is budrot and not so much PM.

I lost half my outdoor crop to bud rot this year. Good luck.
Thanks I hope at least there is some in the end.. I want to make oil and smoke a bit. I havent smoked for 1,5 year and would really love some homegrown once in a while in the cosy warm oven winter nights :):)

The problem I have is not rain, it rained today though, but the next two weeks zero rain apparently. But I live in portuguese mountains and now the humidity is 80-100% each night.

I hopefully get my potassium bicarbonate by mail soon, even if it burns the pistils I think it is the better option I have currently.

How long before you would harvest these? I am a total newbie :D.. I looked through microscope and to me the trichomes are still clear

One thing I've learnt about growing anything, the more I worry, the less pleasure I find. Do your best and learn from your mistakes.
