yeah, that 20% increase in yield they claim is kinda crazy. i imagine all commercial ops use shooting powder then given that increase.
With commercial ops they like their buds look all a nice shape and dont really like the foxtails or strange flowers shootr out of round nice shaped buds. Also you would have the issue of having nice ripe bud with some looking like it hasnt finished or not as ripe as the rest. This happens with shooting powder.
There are plenty of independent guys on the forums who have tried it, me myself icluded and it does work. Ive know more then a few guys use the max max dose and they have come back a week or so later with the plants all leaning over and colas on the floor and they panik. Till the realize itz due to all the extra bud. Its obviously not natrura for the plant and for its structure to have itz mass artificially increased that fast so sometimes the colas just drop. I have seen many guys who have had not so perfect grows, with stresses and deficiencies along the way try it and they have completely messed their plants up with it. It is used commercially in the horticultural industry (like roses, tulips ect)and well known for increasing flower mass . It does actually work but your plants have to be in peak conditions and be able to take the huge push. And you have to be able to look after them.
The ones the commercial cannbis industry use alot is rocks and flower bomb, be ause they work different. They actually push growth from the internal layers and make the buds denser and harder. But they also cut the stretch and length growth down. Those are all those very dense hard, heavy weighing buds you see that all have that similar look to them, with less leaf and more pistols and buds.

now i'm confused. why would you want foxtailing then? i'm trying to avoid it for the reason you mentioned: it's essentially unripe new growth on top of ready to harvest flowers.

my last grow i dropped led intensity at the end and i had no foxtailing which was nice.

What's the earliest uouve used top shooter? I start it about week 6 on a 10 week strain and cut it week 8 to give rhe new layer or flowers time to finish
I have used in for example a 9 week strain ive used it in week 2-4 and it pushes out a whole lot of more bud sites. And then like you week 6--7/8. Im not sure exactly what is in it, must be a certain ratio of auxin and g3a and cycotins or something and a ph stabalizer to take maximum advantage of all the potassium. But you can get it to manipulate the plants. Ive also seem one guy added loads of superthrive an used max max dose shooting powder and all his plants grew mad long dreadlock like growth. He did get some male flowers on his though near the bits that had most light hitting them.

Yeah this is my point. I dont think it was originally designed for cannabis. For me personally I dont mind fox tails and strange shapes. Im mainly a sativa grower, so I can get bud that looks odd to the majority of the current generation of cannabis enthusiasts just through normal organic growth. The product does work, reduce the dose and you can just get a bud layer stacking on your mormal bud layer. Like I said its not for everyone and does work. Using it a different times to that directed you can also change how the buds look. For example someone concerned more about bud looks and shape would probably be better using it at a lower dose in a 9 week strain in week 2-4 to increase alot more sites and get a much stronger flower mass growth within the natural cycle.

Did you get any herm issues using it at week 2? That seems incredibly early. The strain I'm running tends to be a real late bloomer. Shows pistils quite early in week 1 but the flowers really don't do much until about week 5 or 6. I've had great response with 2mL/L top shooter

I've tried top booster at 1mL/L and definitely got bigger flowers but was not happy with how the leaves died off. I might try top booster again this time at half or 1/3 strength but I'm hesitant to use it again

A guy on OverGrow pushed TS to the extreme as an experiment and the plant looked like it had been exposed to nuclear radiation with mutant Mammoth bud growth everywhere

I'm super happy with top shooter though and it's a product that definitely makes a huge difference. Even between 1mL/L and 2mL/L the difference is noticeable

No my plants were fine. With adding it at 2-4 weeks its not what they recomend, and you have to know what your doing to try that. Its like injection steriods just as the plants getting ready to build flowering sites and flowers and ramps it up into overdrive. You get more sites popping out up and down the branches and they begin to flower hard. If you know your strain well and understand the blooming spikes/waves you can used it to intensify them. But it not advisable as it gets technical.
You have to make sure the plants are in good condition when using it and very healthy. I always used to add a stress reliever when ever I used the powder. With yours just try it at a lower dose was probably too high why it burned the plants. Oh another tip just make the lights slightly futher away from the canopy for a couple of days that helps too.

My plants were certainly healthy. Top Booster did the job as recommended at 1mL/L and I only used 1mL/L top shooter. But the Booster causes huge leaf die off towards the last couple of weeks. When I only use top shooter my grows end perfectly healthy, I want to incorporate the PK boost of Booster but just need to find the right dose. Maybe half strength or even less

Also, the HG guide does mention that leaf die-off is normal when using Top Booster, but by the time it's ready to harvest the die-off has affected the entire leaf and it makes trimming incredibly difficult and almost impossible to remove all the dead leaf matter from the buds, which is obviously not ideal.

Ah I have a packet of that laying around, how late into flower can I use it? Is it even worth it say if they were like 2/3 finished already?
Add it in the last 3 weeks of flower, you want about a week of flush.

On a 10 week strain I add it wk 7, 8 and 9 and flush for the 10th week

If you run it all the way to the end the plants will still be forming new immature flowers and foxtails
