Been using this product a couple of years but I’m only just discovering there’s conflicting information everywhere on how to use it;
The house & garden website, a bunch of websites and the back of the bottle says use 1mL/L for one week the last 3 wks flower then 2mL/L litre the last 2 weeks
The H&G feed chart app and a few other places online says 0.5mL/L followed by 1mL/L
So which is true?
In flower I use
HG Coco A+B
HG Roots Excelurator
HG Multizyme
HG Bud XL
HG Drip Clean
Mammoth P
Great White
Top Shooter

I don't use Top Booster

That list hurts my brain, and is a representation of whats wrong with the industry. If a nutrient company can't provide one base nutrient for each veg and flower that can sustain a plant by itself, they are actively and obviously trying to take your wallet. It's not rocket science.

Give me an alrernative
Literally anything that's not 8 products lol. I went one tbsp of 3:1:4 powder mixed through the pot before planting this time. Probably cost me 16c and will feed for 8-10 weeks. Plants looking good at day 35, stretch done, flowers stacking. If it runs out of juice mid/late flower ill throw another half dose and 8c at it late flower to get it through. Last GDP auto pulled 7 oz using around 30c worth of slow release ferts mixed in the medium, albeit with the left over zym from the last runs.

I sorta did the same thing for my first plant and then decided not to throw half my time and wallet at these companies. I thought that Canna Vega, Flores, Zym and PK was insane the first time around, went a $5 tub of organic pellets (will probs do 15 plants) and never looked back. Pretty quickly realized these companies were taking me for a ride, and that weeds just another plant.

Any rounded fertilizer will do the job, but i'm a massive stinge, and no one else has to be as frugal as me. If i was you i'd just use the A+B and toss the rest. I find most lines Base A+B will do the job fine without all the snake oil.

I run H&G Coco AB, with R/O water and Rockwool. I use none of that other shit. I don't even use Drip clean for my drip lines. Could I do better with all their fancy bottles? Maybe, but you don't need them.

The only things I add is a general enzyme product (cheapest I can find), and some h2o2 to keep the res clean and pk13/14 because I have it. I wouldn't go out and buy it again. You can see the weird growth from the pk13/14, I don't think I'd use it with H&G again IDK. Maybe some more fine tuning is needed.

If you have all the bottles use 'em up. But I really don't think they are close to necessary to run H&G.

My local shop stopped selling H&G and I have to special order it in now if I want it, so thinking of switching to Athena, but IDK.

Did you switch yet? Thinking of doing the same.

Nope. Haven't yet. Probably just going to special order more H&G. I'm having good results. 5 liter jugs last me forever so it's worth the hassle/wait time.

I switched to Aero/NFT from Drain To Waste. I am using 40% less nutrients over a grow cycle with a few more plants. Dumping 1-2 liters every 6 days instead of 2-5 gallons weekly.

HG Coco A+B ( Solid 4-3-9 Fert that will grow weed start to finish)
HG Roots Excelurator (Willow Bark extract, IBA, NAA) Can help cloning and rooting young plants, waste on established plants.
HG Multizyme (watered down cesspool enzyme treatment)
HG Bud XL (B Vitamins, Aminos- Healty plants make their own. A high amount of N for flower...why?)
HG Drip Clean (A few cents of citric acid in water)
Mammoth P (not familiar with this product)
Great White (Mycos...sure why not)
Top Shooter ($200 Liter )

I got a sampler box from a rep when I was at NEhydro. It had Cocos A+B, Top Booster, Multizyme, and 4 packs Shooting powder.
The Top Booster and powder I gave to a friend.
The Multizyme I dumped down the shitter where it belongs.
I used the Cocos in Promix and grew six healthy plants start to finish with just the Cocos.

I grow with dry salts, but free stuff is free stuff. I think Cocos is a well made product, but the overall value isn't great.

That's handy info. I wasn't sold on the multizyme but it's what I've used from day 1.

I may just stick to AB, myco and top shooter.
