300% seems absurdly high. Here in MI they don't tax anything, and I kinda wish they would. We could use the extra revenue, not to mention other states would see the cash cow that legalization was and be more likely to decriminalize. But yeah, that's steep.

Yea, this law was put out just to kill off the dispensarys from opening up. No way they can open charging a 300% tax. Not sure how I feel about this. I was planning to be a caregiver, so on one hand, it works in my favor, with the 25 mile rule they are putting in place. On the other hand, I know its just a matter of time before they come after caregivers. I am wondering if this law is even legal to pass.

some boston tea party shit dude

british knew we needed our tea, so they taxed the fuck out of it... we were like, 'well fuck your tea' and threw that shit in the water...

so i hope that doesn't happen

anyway yeah... sort of good news for the grower

dispensaries are going to suck so many balls, to the point where you won't really want to deal with them at all.. and if you don't deal with them you might as well not have them within the 25 radius, so you can legally grow.....

Patients need to form an alliance and vow to never buy from a dispensary, this will force them out of business then patients and caregivers can grow. This is the best way to fight back against the 25-mile rule

That kind of sucks for the people trying to run the dispensaries though....

Some like dispensaries too, a legal way to pick up some quality medication.. between harvests.... but i dont think most people here would prefer a dispensary to the ability to grow

I think dispensarys r a good thing to have but just limit them not all out there just for money. Some people like the idea of helping sick people get therir quality medidicine for cheap.

The trouble with the law is that the dispensary, being within 25 miles of you, is actually bucking the patients..... some peoples access is homegrown, and they can't grow their own with a dispensary within 25 miles.

"not all out there just for money"

Sure, when I see them selling 60$ oz's I will believe that.
5 dollar grams I think is what GOOD weed is worth I get like 7.80-8 dollar grams on ozs... UNTIL legalized. Then, realistically I could see your $60/oz. Your paying for someones risk, too. Don't be stingy now.

The disps are in trouble anyway. The State is spreading them out so there will be as few home growers as possible. They are using some health management plan from the feds.
Some disps will have few customers from the injuns or all the retired folks. But I like your idea. I think the disps will just wind up screwing people for the most part. There will be cronyism and money exchanged for the hot spots. The others wont be able to stay in business in the sticks. I would like to see the statewide map showing where the disps will be

Besides decent dirtweed is going for under 100 an OZ. It seems the mexicans are growing better weed indoors down south and getting ready to undercut the disps and oz's will be 75 or maybe even 60

Your talking about schwag, not medicine. 100 an oz is a rip for great schwag. Theyre still getting 3-4g's for top quality meds in ca, the grower, not the disp. Then they up charge that more. The 25 mile rule is so you dont get neighborhoods full of weed. It sucks, but with the way people are and think just because your legal, everyone wants to smell it.

Put it this way, outside of Tucson and Phoenix, theres not much of a market for 400 dollar an OZ medicine. Most patients dont have the funds and will try to get by with 80 dollar schwag and a gram or three from the disp once in awhile.

The system is set up to be a big failure, outside of two cities.

I agree, the prices at disp are ripoffs. Top Quality bud should only be $10 a gram, and people are still making money off that

well it doesnt matter what you think its what the market thinks and for us that actually grow we would never let a gram go for less than 10. Why because at some point and its getting close its not worth it to me to sell it. i would rather just keep it and share it with my friends, you can never forget the amount of time and knowledge that goes into it, its not just the cost of the equipment, its being able to use that equipment. so for all you dreamers out there waiting for the day you can buy top shelf for 5 bucks a gram, stop being lazy and grow your own or earn more money at what you do.

I can get top quality indoor buds all day for 10 a gram, from NorCal, in phx. And thats straight from the grower. Its probably not worth it to you because your overhead is to high. And theyre still making money off the $10 a gram. I know I know, your bud is the best out there, thats why you get more.
