How about now? And what about this? : A question about harvesting and more

Do these look about ready? Okay, I didn't get a jewelers loop, and I didn't get a happy little microscope but I did notice when I came home after being away for a couple days that the little white dots on the plant which some people like to call "trichomes" have become more see through or opaque, yes they have I think.

Also, I'm getting more branches that have buds on them that look like picture three, or as I like to call it; "the third picture". I feel like the plant is telling me it's pretty much done by doing that.

Ew, gross, don't look at my nails

Without a loop you can’t pin point exactly. But he means go by the hairs. You want 75 plus percent to be brown and they will start receding into the calyx (pod) and they will swell. This is strain dependent though, that’s why the loop is the best.

though the first pic looks closer to done than the second.

Yeah that's the thing actually, cause it seems like different branches are at different stages :S

Does this look more done?
either way, if it is or isn't ready, you will know what a bud that looks like that tastes like and what the high was like after you roast it.

just remember the only difference between science and fuking around is taking notes. experiment a little. not with a whole plant tho.

strain, day of harvest, dry time rh & temp, and pics/appearance should all be submitted to memory/filed so you know exactly the results you get when all that info is combined. it just takes time.

Omg what's happened to me...I've started asking questions instead of fking around....
Thank you for that reminder. My gut is always right it's been telling me to do just that but I will also then remember the results!

Can I suggest maybe stop chopping up your plant until you have definitive answers to your questions.

Just take pics while they are still on the plant.
I came to my own conclusions and it's gonna be awesome! I just got knocked on my ass by the stuff I cut off last week. I'm harvesting all but a few branches cause I wanna get a bit of CBD.

I made this thing to look at trichomes with, it's a piece off some old binoculars I had that were laying around from the tin foil hat days super glued to a magnifying glass. This, o my brothers and only friends, along with my "watch the hair" analysis findings, I felt confident to start harvesting. And it was all because of reasons you hear about in science class, I'm told.

My small plant smells identical to Juicy Fruit brand gum. Get your skiis shined up, birchesssssss! Oooo!

that scope you made is great! looks cool
Yeah, like, I hadn't made anything cool for like, months, and I was starting to get bummed out thinking maybe my making cool stuff days were over but then I blasted the MacGyver theme to get some inspiration and that's what happened.
