How about this HPS?

Thanks to the deals thread for the links, that's how I found it. Well, I wondered if anybody could give me suggestions about this light, if anyone knows about it or if anyone would like to recommend something different. I just want to make sure that I'm getting the best deal possible, becacuse money isn't exactly plentiful for me, thanks.

I pay 75€ for a 600w HPS with ballast... But then again this hps model is a little bit more advanced than mine...
U might want to consider shopping from Dutch web-site Don't know the shipping costs but its worth a try...

this setup is half of what mine cost. the size of the reflector is kinda small. as a novice I just told them to set me up and this is what I got

valubrite reflector
agrosun red
a better socket thingie than what is pictured there
and an xtrasun ballast

my reflector is like 24 by 24

if you can get hps for $200 then go for it. it'll last long enough and you can grow with it

That is a fair price for a system like that. You may want to consider an air cooled hood as that is going to create some heat. If your space is large enough - no worries.
