How and when to prune? Hol $hit!

So, I'm at about day 19 since the seeds cracked. Do I need to prune shit?? they look like they are growing well! Mabe raise the light? I thought you should keep the lights real low to make em fat and wide...??? WTF?

one thing. your losing more light than your reflecting when u use tin foil.
and it all depends on what kind of grow your doing. do you want a big tall nug? a bush with many tops?
a bush filled with popcorn nugs
or a banzi tree.
you know?
it looks good tho.

Don't know! I've never done this, just a bit of dope is the goal, I just want to see if i can do this,i suppose. I guess whatever will grow will be awesome to me. I didn't know that about foil. I'll remove. thanks..:weed:
 
Yo you should buy one of these at like a autozone or something They work great and are quite convenient and SOME people say its better than tin foil because it doesnt create hot spots. Not me though i just take what ever i can get. I also put a little fan in notch that they take out that blows in some fresh air.
 
First of all remove the foil. Then trim any dead or dying leaves and then as it grows a bit taller I would trim the bottom 1/3 off the plant.

The only thing you should line your grow space with is mylar it has the highest light reflectivity of ANYTHING else and it doesn't get hot. Mirror's just get scorching hot, so they aren't even as good.

I really couldnt tell ya, but it seems to be the common opinion that tinfoil is not the best idea. Ive even herd that if you use the shiny inside of a potatoe chip bag it can be better than tin foil. Pretty ghetto if you ask me
 
haha yeah foil gets hot and can create burning. mylar or black/white poly would work fine. take the big leaves off that cover the nice branches . wait to prune them before flowering atleast. when it comes to pruneing its up to the grower. leaves put off toxins and cause bad light penatration so i like to take all the big leaves away. good luck
 
leaves do NOT re3slease(put out) toxins!!!

every leaf is a solar panel, if you want light on lower brances, bend plant, screen, anything. never remove a healthy leaf, EVER!!
 
and mirrors are not evenly coated, with the silver backing, so clooects more heat in some spots, less in others, so causing hot spots, foil wrinkles, and cause hot spots by directing more light in 1 direction, not others.

milar/panda paper is best options, even spread reflective area, no wrinkles to mess with light reflecting.

haha well me and my plants go trough a love and strict diceplene realation ship. my plants dont care when i rip fresh leaves off of it. new leaves always grow back. i wouldnt prune it till the branches are ready to clone. if your a little more gental then i am it will cause alot less stress. you can prune and shape your plant however you like it to grow by bending it takeing leaves off and sprading the breanches from entangleing helps growth alot. i recomend pruning before you start budding depnding on how strong your plant are and if its a female. ive read that the more stress they produce before tthey re sexed it could increase the probabillity of more males. so be nice to them untill they become nice long haired bitches. good growing!
