How are things looking?

@Minnegrowta - Plants look amazing. A note of caution and I mention this because it happened to me a few times. I do not see any in your pics, but you should inspect your largest colas for yellowing and/or brown leaves that poke out of the fattest section of the colas which is the part that develops bud rot first. If you pull gently on these yellowing/brown leaves they will likely come out easily and have rotted stems and are a sure sign of rot deep within the bud. Best of luck to you :)

Yup. I agree.

I dried that sample from Monday and smoked it just now. It's incredibly potent. I would not be upset to harvest now. It's somewhat bad timing, and I hope I can keep it going until the weekend, my mother in law has decided that dropping by to stay in my house for a couple days is a thing.
I would harvest now. Can't beat clean buds. You have lots. I'd toss anything that looks dirty. Just my opinion.

You can always harvest the parts that are done, and leave the rest for later. One of the nice things about large plants. Just like vegetables, not all fruit ripens at the same time.

Yup. Should have added that's likely what I would do. Looks like a pretty big job. Also with mil coming to visit and all...

I always leave a few buds on the plant to what happens when they go longer, and so far this year, I haven't really lost much by harvesting when I did. Partly the heat and partly septoria in some cases, and just genetics in others, but all the plants died fairly soon after harvest. Most stuff starts flowering by the last part of July and generally finishes in Sept..One plant actually started flowering about June 20 and did not reveg, and was harvested at the beginning of Sept. Outdoor seems to finish quicker than indoor, and this year we had heat that topped out at 100 as recently as about 9 days ago. Other growers here think it sped up the plant finishing rate this year, I tend to agree.

How did mama like trimmin? Did y'all bond over it?
Well

So I haven't killed him yet.

But my husband left me with his mom alone so he could go play cards with his friends yesterday.

If I could have spit fire the house would have burned down

.... but yes we kind of did. She asked why I needed to smoke weed, I said I'm a 3 time marathon r*pe victim and the 3rd time broke me in half and while I really tried SSRI's and antipsychotics and whatever, I could feel it and it made the world beige and flavorless so instead I smoke and it helps the anxiety. Like all women it seems, she had her own stories, and while weed isn't for her she understands why others benefit.

But the man is dead when I have time and energy to dedicate to what he did.

That's great you guys bonded and she understands. That's a huge step in a relationship. Hopefully it takes any bad image from her head of you (if there were any) about being a drug user. If y'all get along, it could be a fun thing to plan each year for his folks to come out around harvest time and have some great bonding time paired with cheap.labor.

As far as him, look at the other side of the coin and maybe be thankful for the alone time because you gals probably had conversations that you may have not had otherwise if he was poking around or present all day. But yeah, that's a ballsy move on his part to just bounce when all the work is due to be done and his mom's in town. Lol
