how big do my 'clones to be' need to be before i cut them

hey guys just wandering how big my clones to be would need to be in order for me to cut them and to ensure they will survive. can you tell me in inches please would be very useful thanks for help

It depends on how close the nodes are. If the mothers are under good lighting and the nodes are close you can cut at as little as 3 inches, if they are further apart 6-12 inches. No definite answer here. Sorry.

I go by nods as well and to some extent, by the thickness of the branch. After a while you get a feel for which cuttings will be easy to root and which ones are more likely to give you problems. The only time I really look at the overall length of the branch is when I need them to be roughly the same size, so they fit under my lights better.
