yeah florida is a good state to cut grass in especially down south. i got a rider but no weed eater or blower...the two things that people do the most here is scrap metal and landscaping. and landscaping is slow being january and all. when i go into town to fill out applications and check up on jobs i check gas stations to stop people getting gas for work and ask for jobs too most of them say they are only workin a couple hours that day and its too slow.

Have you ever considered commuting? I don't know if that is an option, but I recently expanded my range and found a great job outside of town. I just have to commute 25 minutes each way, which is almost an hour driving time but there and back, it feels worth it for this particular job. If that isn't an option, you could always survive from recycling plastics, that would even be more than $200 in 3 months. I have a friend who lived in Portland jobless for 3 years doing odd jobs like that, turning plastic for money and dealing a little bit to make bills. It's not desirable but even selling personal items (in the meanwhile) can help make quick cash. Just be resourceful and try to be conservative with what you do make, you'll get a good gig eventually!

yeah the only recycling they do here for money is metal.... if they had plastics recycling where they paid you i could make a living at it. and i tried to donate plasma and they give you a t shirt saying you donated. plus to donate plasma is 45 min drive to the next town and its not really worth the shirt...on the other hand i have all my home remodeling tools with me but i moved to where everyone has trailers and not houses so finding work is kind of difficult with everyone up here on a lower income

I hear ya man... Michigan is not much better. Don't let it get you down and keep looking, something will pop up and come your way.
Be Persistent and keep going back to the places and checking on your apps.
As a manager for over 20 years I always looked at the ones that came in and checked on their apps from time to time that they are the ones that want and need to work. Those people for the most part where some of my best employees.
I too am currently unemployed and seeking work along with millions of others.
Just keep your chin up and dont allow yourself to get discouraged.

i was trying to think of a way to sell a service that people feel like they need. like everyone needs water to live so everyone needs water to their house... i need to find my "water" if that makes any sense

yeah my family is from michigan so ive been hearing about the same thing up there. if i wasnt married and with kids i would go to ND and get a job with all that oil they found

pick up aluminum cans / scrap metal..... big money there... They're stealing copper like crazy down here.... Brass plumbing fitting are good too... You can unscrew those off peoples houses and they never know it.

yeah im not big on stealing....but i am always looking for metal i have cans and copper now but not enough to take it in yet

yeah theres a lot of those here. i can think of two intersections where that is popular. you would have 3 or 4 at each corner

Find the roofers in your area.Head over to there yard one morning and see what they can do for you.They're always looking for people here.Its hard but you get paid good and they hire anyone.

I live in a state where in the summer people make a ton of cash landscapeing. In the winter they attach plow blades and get to clearing driveways and parkinglots. On a good winter day a guy can push snow out of their summer clients driveways and make $30 to $70 per driveway depending on the bid. These guys can clear $1000.00 per day every snow day so get to an inclimate region and get a snow shovel. Buy the way a overburdand roof can earn $500 snow blower does this in about 2 hours. PEACE

Mowing lawns won't make you shit in Florida...there are already too many people mowing lawns...and more everyday...Anyway I really like the Plasma idea..I mean if you are really hard up it can help out...

Easy man.

Step 1 - Move to a state that has legal medical marijuana.

Step 2 - Go to some hydro shops and politely ask them if they can help you get in touch with the right people for a medial licence.

Step 3 - See the doctor they recommended and get your licence to consume and grow.

Step 4 - Grow good weed and sell it to dispensaries.

It will take 6 months to a year, but if you are looking for fast cash now...I dont know, minimum wage at McDonalds. Then save that money and move to a legal medical state.

i like this idea but my wife isnt too crazy about it...we are actually considering moving to missouri next year we are just tying up loose ends this year
