Also, for anyone interested, I buy top shelf pheno clones from a friend

Works good, but you can only do it for a couple weeks until they get to big for the bucket lid surface area. That's when i install the net.
Ive never fully understood the purpose of scrog. Is it just to support the weight? Wouldn't there be a simpler way to do that?
scrog is to get all bud sites on a flat plane. maximum coverage for your light.
You bend the branches under the net and the net itself holds the branches horizontally. Allows light to all parts of the plant instead of just the top. Allows all side growth to become main top growth. So it just gives you a point of reference to start bending?

Yeah in veg and flower stretch. You do trim whats underneath the screen cuz it won't get light, so you have that right. But the whole point is to have all of the bud sites at the same height so they all get max light, so you tuck the branches under the net to stop them from growing up, when you do let them grow up they'll all be allowed up at the same time so they grow at the same height. So you do that in veg? I thought the point of scrog was to allow the plant to go through the screen and trim under it. I have that mixed up?

Nah you just leave it on.So you remove the screen at some point? when would that be? after the stretch period of flower?
Nah you just leave it on.
I've seen anywhere from 4-12" suggested. In reality it depends on your own grow, such as growing medium, light, space available and such. Gotta kinda test it out yourself to find the right one, you can also do a two stage, one net at X" height and another one higher at X" of height. I personally prefer to start low, 4", that way you can begin training asap in my setup and speed up total time spent. At 4" i need to then either raise my net or build a second one to optimize because I am limited on space when I train, so it varies by the space you have and the time you plan to spend training.I would be interested in making one similar to what you have there. How high up do you want it? obviously thats subjective to the person. do you just make it as high as you want it for your canopy? or is there a suggested height?

I dont fully understand. 4-12 inches in total plant growth? scroging a 4 inch plant? that would be super smalland all of this is just for the purpose of uniformity?
Scrogging is the best method I have come across, super easy and you can get really creative witj making the net.
I suggest you fix the screen to the lid of your reservoir for easier maintenance.
And honestly go check out growweedasy as Anon suggested, they have everything there is to know about growing, all written to understand.
I was refering to net height, in the pic i posted of my net it is sitting at 4".I dont fully understand. 4-12 inches in total plant growth? scroging a 4 inch plant? that would be super smalland all of this is just for the purpose of uniformity?
