How do I grow out blueberry autoflower?

My first grow was a non auto. I vegged 30 days, switched to 12-12, and flowered about 9 weeks. Now going auto. Do I keep light on 24-7 throughout. Or lower it to 18-6. I am assuming I will never switch to 12-12? Also I want to get the timeframe thing right. Day 1 is when seed actually sprouts above soil right? Also when do you start counting flowering weeks? It seems to me that after showing sex or pistils.....that is week 1? Or do you start week 1 after it has showed pistils for about a solid week?

About flowering i start counting once i have a small cluster of calyxes. Roughly a week or so. And as far as lighting. I would do either 20/4 or 24/0. Some strains like a nap. Others are bred for 24/0.

generally speaking, you can leave the lights on 24 hours for a true autoflower. Though some people use a 20-4 light period or even 18-6. It should start to flower around 2-3 weeks regardless of photoperiod. The cycle should be from sprout to finish. Sometimes they may take a few extra days, just check to progress of the plant and pistils and trichomes. A word of caution, do NOT top them, it stunts them and you won't get much bud.

When I grow autos, they go straight into the cfl cab. FFOF. 24/0 light schedule. From seed to harvest should be somewhere between ~8-10 weeks. They "veg" for ~15 days and automatically start to flower. I'm currently doing a seed run of Afghan Kush Ryder using Tiresias Mist. Should be interesting.

So after seeing sex...I should go maybe a week (7 days) before starting to count as week 1? I remember my last grow (non auto) after it showed sex....there was about a week period when the plant sorta did nothing. I started counting week 1 as the first day it showed female pistils. Although a week later is when the pistils started to show at nodes everywhere.

Ok well Im using ffof again with about 30 percent extra perlite. I have been on 24-7 from day one. So the question is should I keep light on 24-7 or switch to 20-4 to allow a bit of a rest period?

What strain? Does the breeder say what is best? Strains become aclimated to the environments they are bred in after several generations of breeding. So find out what the breeder did and you will have the most success. Good luck

It's your choice. I have done it both ways and saw no difference.

If you are using CFLs, I would run them 24/0.

HPS I would probably run 18/6 or 20/4 - Then again, if I was doing an auto grow, I would have at least 4-5 going under the 400.

The good thing about autos - it's impossible to screw up their light schedule. Autos have a 8-10 week life span. The best you can do is give it the most light possible and don't fuck with them too much. The best yields were with LST.

Using cfl's for vegging then LED for flowering. Thanks for all the useful info.
