How Do You Count The Bloom Cycle?

How do you calculate the total time of the bloom cycle. Is it from when you go 12/12 with lights or is it from the appearnace of a bud? thanks this is my first post and looking foward to pain relief have sever arthritis.

it starts as soon as you switch to 12/12,but that doesnt mean flowering will start straight away.

If grower says strain is 8 weeks flowering, it probably means 8 weeks from when you see a bud forming, not from switching to 12/12. Thats how I count it outdoors anyway.

the first day of 12/12 is day 1....for me that is

veggin can be different as some count when its in the seed and in the dirt and some count( me) that once it pokes its head abouve ground its day 1 of veg.
