So 200litre tank in my loft.
Change 1nce a week.

The ro filter at my mates seems frwaking impossible to get in my loft.. Preassure and measly flow......

So
How do you ro ur loft.
Seen these ros from growmax 200quid 2000gpd and a aito shutoff when it reaches the max tank line...

So how do i do it hmm
Upstairs toilet has a sink i fill from 400ppm.
I run a hose into the loft and shout when she needs to turn it off.

Can i put a ro on this here? Like hose into loft and ro filter thete or will the preassure be too low? They say they require 30psi ive no idea what psi is up there.
It fills 200l tank in around 15 mins

Get a booster pump for the RO filter. Problem solved. They generally work best at 60 PSI.

If you hook up the booster pump, feed that to a check valve then the pressure switch, tee into the pressure tank and out to the filter. The booster pump will keep the tank at 60 PSI and the filter will take water from that.

Thanks man.
Been looking at boosters.

Rang a ro company here said he csn do me a 5 stage for cheaper thsn the growmax 2part ro.

So hes doing me a 20litre an hr system.
He gave me a bsp connection for a hose so i cna run it there and swap to my other house too.

It will tske 10hrs to fill my 200l tank but hey its only a day every 7 to 10 days so like 10 days outa 60
100 hours max at work thats 800 quid.

Veg is easyer

If i get 40oz stil or better that saves me 200 a oz and thats 8k savings 100 hrs work wudnt pay for so i dont mind. Saves me 800hrs work lol
Means i can sit on my smoke till after xmas til my next is done. Keeps my fsmily going lol

It may be easier to have your ro filter on a lower level and just run the 1/4 inch ro line up into the loft.

Lol will the line work that high preassure sfter the ro?

I was gona bang it on a 32x32" board box it in like a breifcase and have it plug and play wherever i am feed out waste out and feed bsp connector.

Then i can plonk it in the loft and click it on turn the tap and 10hrs.. So il go shopping n shit for 7hrs n then keep a check on it.

But ive seen these little valves thatcan shut it off at set levels too

Oh hell yeah man. Doesn’t take much to push vertically through a small line like that

I run my pressure at 65 PSI and I have had no problems. Just use quality tubing, the cheap stuff isn't UV proof and will develop pin hole leaks if exposed to grow lights for an extended period.

Float valve, critical for a storage tank, when the tank is full the valve closes and stops the water from overflowing. They make ones with the 1/4" quick connect and the 3/8" quick connect. I always use those little clips that lock the tubing on the quick connects.

Another tip for RO filter installations is to use a permeate booster pump. This is not an electric device, rather it uses the output pressure from the brine water to boost the pressure of the purified water output. This greatly reduces the waste water when there is a back pressure like a partially closed float valve or just pushing uphill. Aquatec ERP-500 and ERP-1000 (size according to your RO filter GPD).
