I usually [when packing a hand pipe] leave it kinda loose. Makes it burn evenly ya know?
Now a bong thats a different story, I pack fat tight bowls that I try my best to clear in one hit every time 8D

I usually break up the bud and pack it like a puzzle!

The air intake is great, just like smoking a cig.

I find that if I pack the bowl too tight, towards the end it tends to clog up the piece and I have to rebreak it up and reposition it.
 
When I'm packing my bowl I use a pair of scissors to snip small pieces off the bud.
Then I carefully pack it without taking off the crystals.
 
when I pack a bowl I generally put weed in the bowl and smoke it.................... is there another way to do it without packing the bowl???? :P

I break down a .5 and pinch it between my thumb and forefinger then I drop it in the bowl I repeat a few more times push down lightly and fire it up
 
the worse thing to do in my opinion is to break the bud up like your rolling a blunt or a joint. the bud breaks down when u smoke it and it gets caught in the hole and then u gotta pull mad hard and then when u finally do the bud piece either goes in the bong water or it goes flying down your throat(mayjor buzz kill). I tell my friend not to all the time but he keeps doing it so from now on im the only one who packs the bowls.........

i hate it with a passion myself. and your exactly on when u said it wastes bud cuz imagine if the dude droke all the bud up like that, then i'd say 1/3 of it is getting caught in the hole
 
I like to break my shit up into a fine-ass powder, and pack the bowl nice and tight, burns wonderfully, and you know you've got it perfect when it just fluffs up right as you hit it, smoke tastes delicious and they're giant-ass rips

lol... yeah... i always smoke witha screen.

and i honestly dont pack big bowls.. i pack hit bowls. im 18 and i just finished highschool so im still with mommy... so i cant just let it stink up my room like none other.

also i find it conserves weed... and lighting it taking hits... waiting 10 seconds and then hitting it again... precious weed is burning.... why i dislike blunts
