How far in advance should you apply for your renewal?

Title says it all....wife's got 4 months for renewal and I was just interested to know how much in advance we should apply for her renewal so that there is no lapse. Took something like 4 months for her to get her original card...

Last year I was told I could renew sixty days before my card expired.
I used all sixty days and still didn't get my new card until well after the old one expired.

The state's new superprinter should help speed things up.

That, along with Son Of Dow Chemical/Republican Presidential Campaign Manager/Outspoken Medical Marijuana Opposition Leader/Federal Law Upholder/State Attorney General Schuette's crusade weed out the unworthy amoung us, and get the number of patients and caregivers down to a managable number. A number well under the fully one to two percent of Michigan citizens currently enrolled, and labled as nothing more than "pot profiteers" and law "hijackers"

Ah the sweet smell of hypocrisy emitted from the compassionate republicans for smaller government.
How goes the Dow Chemical cleanup effort Billy?

If good old Abe Lincoln had a chance to meet the republican party of present day....these shitbags are nothing even remotely close to anything that resembles true republican principles. If you want a true republican, take a look at Ron Paul. He's not crazy with nutty ideas like the GOP establishment loves to make him out to be; he understands what it means to be a true republican who represents smaller government and more individual liberty and freedom. And he also seems to be the only republican that has had the time to actually read the constitution. What we have today are Rethuglicans....nothing but a bunch of propaganda spewing, nation dividing shitbags. Gosh....reminds me of Germany circa 1939.

Sorry....got off topic a bit but I can go off on a tangent when the discussion of republicans comes up.

Anyhow, thanks for the good info guys....just want to make sure the wife's registration stays current so there are no complications for her caregiver.

Completely agree with you. It blows my mind that people actually vote for these douchebags in large enough numbers to win an election. Fucked up world I guess.

no more than prior 60days, and I would have it done atleast 30 days before the expiration date...

I don't think they are too strict about it. I let mine expire but still got renewed just fine. Didn't do it on purpose, just one of those things.

lol why would you renew before your old one expires?? I usually don't go in until a week or so after mine expires. If you have a good doctor, they will back you up if your rec expires because they know you're a patient. No need to get a new one before your current letter expires, there is just no sense in that

A patient would most likely renew early if they reside in a nazi gestapo community such as Oakland county where the gestapo...I'm sorry, I mean the police, actively harass and persecute patients for no other reason than the fact that they're patients. In those situations, it's probably a better situation for a patient to have their hard card on hand (as the state SHOULD supply in a timely manner) rather than handing your cell phone to the cop pulling you over and asking him to take your doctor's word for it.

Believe it or not, some municipalities are in an all out war against mmj policy and it's patients.

last i heard jails are hard up for space, and are releasing non-violent offenders. I doubt you would see anything but a slap on the wrist. Unless ofcourse you're rolling around with a few L-bows in the trunk, then you have reason to worry
