how high should the water get in the tray my tray is 11"deep and im using 6" mesh pots with hydroton with 2"rockwool cubes that the seeds sprouted in i've heard it should fill to 1'2 below the cubs in the pot is that trrue

You got it brother - keep your flood level just below the bottom of the rockwool cube.
