How is my Colombian Gold CFL grow doing?

is this the world of seeds columbian gold that you ordered from attitude?

if so, i've seen it grown out and just beginning to flower outside (they let me get 2 cuts hooray!), it was lanky but nothing like yours, if there is any way to get more light in there i feel like it'd make a huge difference! subscribing to this, curious to see how it pans out, it can take a really long time to flower but will be worth it!!

As cost effective and cool as CFLs are, they are a lot weaker than HPS.... & Even then HPS is much weaker than the sun... Soo...

How many Watt cfl have you got atm? Id recommend 300 per plant

And i wouldnt give your plants a full strength dose on nutes as theres not enough light for them to work it off.

You need to get your lights (and more lights) closer to the buds. 150W per plant is enough... it will do this anyways..

Must admit there looking decent here now that i read its sativa loool you can really tell which 1 of those buds is closest to the lights though, how many weeks are they?... Yeah anyways you should go the 14 week mark i recon bro just to make sure!

Or atleast be watching closely around the 13 week mark

The premature oranging is nothing to worry about and varies from strain to strain - hence why the oranging of the hairs is a less prefured method of determining the maturity of the flowers.

Also there wouldnt of been a better time for your red bulb to be replaced with a blue as blue encourages more trichomes at the end of flowering

I'm thinking about ordering 400W HPS, but I wasn't sure if it would really make a difference at this point. They're almost at 9 weeks of flowering.

And for sure it would make a big difference, i mean there would already be more wattage & Plus its a more intense light source, if its an option to you i cant see why you havnt got hps already lol

I ordered the 400W HPS today from HTGsupply. Can't wait to get it.

I switched to a 400w hps for this grow, you won't be disappointed...just make sure you get your heat under control

@letitgrow...any reccomendations? I've got one fan in there now, i'm definitely buying 1 or 2 more. I can't afford a cooltube/ intake/outtake fan or any of that fancy stuff.

Cant remember exactly but something about the Blue spectrum has more UV or Radiation in it, but Red light helps flower/growth/size - blue helps potency/taste. Blue light is more damaging to a MJ Plant there for it creates more trichomes as a defence mechanism.

same here dude, I just have 2 box fans circulating and a small window ac unit.

GOT THE 400W HPS. SO. AWESOME. Why I didn't do this from the start, I have NO clue. I made it so that the closest part of each plant is a good 2 feet away from the light, and did the hand-heat test thingy. I also left a few CFL's going......is it even worth it? pics to come soon. If you think 2 feet is too close for plants coming from an all-CFL grow, please let me know asap. PEACE

Got mine around 2 ft too, and you can throw in some Cfl's if you want too but that 400 is plenty in my opinion
