How long does a 6" Carbon filter last you?

Will it work for a year, 6 months, what do you personally get out of them? And what's the brand you go with.

This AC Infinity 6" filter of mine just stopped filtering smells after 1 & 1/2 flower runs. So not even 2 full runs.

Seems like the thing that will cost the most to keep growing?

My 8" carbon filter is easy 10+ years old lol.
I think I'm nose blind ffs.
No complaints from the neighbours yet tho.....
I've a brand spanking new filter unboxed that's been lying in my garage for 15 years!

Can filters are expensive but well worth the price. I always have questioned the prices of the other products available and wondered why they could be so much cheaper.

How many runs can you expect out of a 6", $211 Can filter? V.s. a $50 Vivosun or $75 AC Infinity I guess is the question.

I get 4 good runs a year and then I replace. I rent so I want to keep my landlord from knowing. I buy the cheap ones no complaints. I feel a 1 time a year purchase is fair.

read my post about my search for a non crappy filter its not always about the brand of filter its the type of carbon used the pelletized ones last long

I have the 4 inch flange that is 15 inches or so tall. I've got three runs threw it. I got the filter from a former grower who ran it for 3 runs all those and its still going strong. I think new they are less than $150 for the one I have referencing a website that sells them.

Forever if you just look at it in the catalog once in a while

vivosun 4 and 6” but the 4” was used longer, like 5 months with 6” and a year with 4”. It is an expense yes, but 40-60$ is not bad once or twice a year.

Anything smaller than a 2x2 is not worth the costs so I do not use one for those, maybe slap one on if it needs to not smell for a time being.

Have not had to find another brand yet. I have filter outside of tent too, works either way.

Not sure if this model is made with the flange anymore.

I've had my 6" Vivosun filter for years. Can't smell a thing until you open up the tent.

Mine, (vivosun) has lasted for about 4 years, I wash the outer dust cover after each grow. If it starts to fail I will probably try to re-pack it or re-activate the charcoal.

Ya don't buy can buy Kootenay. Same guys from can before it got bought out. Can filters cheaped out on the carbon, the size of the carbon bed etc. Kootenay makes it the same way can did before the buyout

Yea crazy. Guess I'll run the Vivosun & see if it's as short-lived as the AC Infinity. I'm venting outside but my whole room still stinks 24-7, so the current filter is definitely dead at 4-months use. Smh
