how long does it take when you flash for your plants to show signs of flowering, because idk if i flashed right. i did 12/12 but idk if they were old enough, geneticaly i think they were, they were just short, i messured two of them at 1 foot and started flowering then, is that okay? they've growth quite about, im checking them tonight for a messurment, (tommarrow's 1 week) and im using flourecent bulbs T-8 52K i think.

generally you probably wont even see sex til almost two weeks in and then the buds will start forming. i wouldve fvegged a bit longer unless you have height restraints cause they will double or triple in sized

The fact you haven't seen sex yet is a good sign. With plants at 12 inches I'd say those had been growing about a month veg when you switched, am I right? Males usually show within days (3-5) when I veg for a month. Females usually take about a week to show in my experience, could be two as kodiak7 said. By your wording it sounds funny tho..... You do know that you keep it on 12/12 for good now right? Not just "flash" them once.

switching to fluorescent bulbs with color temperature in the 2700k-3500k range will help too. For T-8's it would be the "kitchen and bath" type you find in stores. And of course switching to a permanent 12 on/ 12 off schedule if you haven't :-)

Flashlight , flashbulb, flashcopy, flashfire, Flash Anything.... non of which have anything to do with growing.

flowering means the light is on for 12hrs and off for 12 hrs, EVERY DAY! (unless of course they are autos).

you can not flash right because there is no such thing as flashing.

Thank you! Jeez! I was like WTF is flashing? Is this guy showing his junk to his garden, or something?

HERE IT IS MAN: 18 hours of light and 6 hours of dark, until sex shows, and/or they r the size u wish them to be, THEN set your timer to 12 hours of light and 12 hours of dark, and it will flower, and hopefully u will have removed any males by that point... Stop flashing your plants, or whatever you described... Just grow them like the other 99% do..... Very simple...

If you want help you need to post pics, Conditions(temp, humidity, lighting schedule) , a description of all the materials you use in your setup, how often you water/ feed, and any other information you think is important. I'd be happy to help.

mr. greene- I am no expert but I'll give you a quick flowering rundown to make sure you are all set. When you are ready to flower with fluorescents- you want to switch to the bulbs i mentioned before. They have more of a red/orange hue to them. Then you will want to water and fertilize the plant on a reg schedule with a fertilizer that is more bloom oriented. Then you need to keep the lights on for 12 hours and off for 12 hours per day until the end of flowering. In my experience using fluorescent tube lighting once, It takes significantly longer for the plant to begin to flower because the lights just aren't powerful enough. Adding some "soft white" cfl's (same color spectrum as well) couldn't hurt. I'm not sure what flashing is, but I can tell you that if you want your garden at it's best and you dont have any experience with growing- you should set it to 12/12. Its simple, easy, and very effective. Anyone else out there is welcome to correct any mistake I made, but I think I summed it up pretty well. Good luck :-)

im growing 6 plants of different seeds and ive waterd them good and kept the tempatures in the 75 degree range, im feeding them fox farm fetalizers 3 different times every other watering, i use tap in between watering with the nutes. 3 are stunted dramaticly and 2 of them are good, i started flowering 8-9 days agp and theyved grown from 12 inches to 24 inches, i can post pics if youd like. i just want to know what im doing wrong. im using T-8 floressence bulbs, (4tube) in a balast hanging them 2-3 inches from the plant. if theres anything else you need to know just ask.
