I don't see how Ron Paul is taking anything from the Republicans.
He isn't a third party canidate.
He's a republican.
He supported Reagen in '76 before Reagen was 'cool'
He brought the young people to the GOP, something the Republicans need badly.
The GOP leadership is shooting itself in the foot not backing him at this point.
He would have brought the troops home.
Supported drug legalization (let states deside)
Voted against the Patriot Act.
Hates the Central Bank.
Would have let the big banks fail (they had it comeing)
Wouldn't have ordered YOU to buy GM.
He is a doctor not a lawyer, I trust him with health care before I trust a 'community orginizer.'
He has 30 years worth of credability to draw from.
He has stood by his guns when his freinds in congress wilted.
He doesn't take money from special interests.
I could do this all day.
IMO he is the only person who has it in him to save the GOP.
The GOP is seen as the grumpy old men.
There are few youngsters joining the GOP.
Ron Paul draws them in with the message.
As far as third partys go.
The Libertarians has drifted towards the Neo-Con position.
They can't hardly agree amoungst themselves what the party is about.
A lot of free thinkers there.
Don't know about the Greens.
But they seem socialistic to me.
If you'll exuse me we simply don't have the money for socialism.

I'd vote for Ron Paul in a heartbeat. Problem is, I think he scares the crap out of his own party because he's a reformer and they don't want to change. He'll probably never get the chance. Look how they shut him out of the debates.
The problem with Ron Paul is that he is a Republican.
Why did he run as a Republican in the primaries? Did he really believe that a bunch of ditto heads would vote for him? The Republican party is obsolete, their future is going to be limited to a few rednecks in states like Texas and Oklahoma. Nobody with a brain is going to vote for a Republicon again after 8 years of Bush's bullshit.

Give it three more years and tell me that folks are not fed up with the democrats as well. By then the new slogan will be "Change that you fell for". Of course, I'm just a dumb redneck, so I may be wrong.
I think this last election has proven that voters are willing to do something they never have before. I tend to believe that it is inevitable that a third party actually shakes things up.
I'm not talking about "Joe Walsh for Prez" or "Ralph Nader Runs Yet Again". I mean a party with a viable candidate and a unifying platform. I just have not seen it yet, but I'll damn sure be looking hard for it.
I hope people realize the only "wasted vote" is the one cast for a candidate you don't believe in.
Look at what happened with Bush, he lost the popular vote and was appointed as president by conservative judges, his administration was a complete and miserable failure on all fronts, yet he still won reelection to a second term. If the citizens of the US will put up with a fool like Bush for 8 years then President Obama will be reelected.

I have never voted because no one has ever appealed to me. Its like both sides are only out for there own agendas not for the people or the good of the country. If they dont push Ron Paul out of the picture next time I would definitely vote for him. Its like hes the only one with any common sense.

(The Dems and Republicans own the debates and don't want anyone else involved)
(Run third party you spend all your money just trying to get on the ballot)
2. He ran Republican because he's always been one.

So either we resign ourselves to a one party system or we reform the GOP.
Ron Paul consistantly voted NO on many of Bush's policies.
I believe he was purposefully left out in the cold in the media.
He was Given the stupidist questions in the debates and almost no time.
He was set up durring the debates by the 'moderaters' to the (probably planned) benift of Gouliani.

Radio Talk shows barely uttered his name unless it was to bad-mouth him.
If he plays his cards right in the Iowa Primaries just goes balls out, he could win there.
That would give him the momentum moving on.
The mainstream media is giving him lots of Air time now.
He gained invaluable experiance in the 2008 run.
Hes got one more run left in him IMO.

Did you see how Ron Paul was belittled by the Republicans and ignored at their debates? He has no future in that party.
If Kerry had won we could have been out of Iraq already. The economy wouldn't be in a cluster fuck and the world would be a better place.
