how many btu's of cooling do i need for 6,000 watts of light???

well you can get roughly 3400 btus/hour off of 1400 watts. so your going to have 14,500 btus extra pumping into your room. if you purchased a 30,000 btu window unit you might be able to keep the temp from rising too much. since windows units are not very efficient. just my thoughts.

If your lights are sealed, and you're pulling cool air from outdoors, and pushing the hot return air back outdoors ... you wouldn't need more than 20,000-30,000 btu cooling imo. But if you're allowing the hot air off your lights to escape into your grow area ... you're fukt. 8k is a LOT of heat!

how many btu's would i need for non aircooled adjusta wing....how many would i need for air cooled hoods? remember 6,000 watts total light. thanks

if i had 12k btu from a split level ac with on roof compressor would that do the job for 6k watts of light non air cooled adjusta wing??????

I don't know that, but I do know it would be VASTLY cheaper to go buy new hoods vs AC all the extra heat every month.

I'd say go with a 3 ton split single zone AC. Generally, you need 4k btu's per 1k of unventilated light. 3k btu's per 1k of ventilated.

You could probably get away with 2 smaller window units or 2 dual hose portable units.

dude go with a 2 ton unit, if i were you i would go with a 3 ton so in the future you can upgrade and not have to buy another ac.

But if you oversize your ac it wont cycle on as often thus increasing your humidity. So either go with a 2 ton or a 3 ton and a dehuey.
