how many inches should my plant be growing a week?

im growing them indoors, feeding them fox farm nutrients with 18 hours on 6 hours off! im just wondering if they are growing at a normal rate! im not sure how tall one of them was, but one started at about 6 inches and now its about 11 inches and ind ive had if for about 17 days! is that pretty normal? or a lil slow?

It sound slike there growing as normal, keep in mind baby plants tend to grow slowly as there root systems are beginning to streech out in the pots there in. then when they are happy they will let you no.

If your growing autos then your find they will grow faster when there settled into there pots an there roots have streched out an are happy in there new pots.

but in general if they look nice an green an healthy then try to NOT panic, because your housing some healthy babys.

excuse tpyos been ill an im not really back to my old self.

ahhh man its chill thanks im not really worried i was just wondering! and thanks man! and what do you mean autos?

Your plants are fine. Just remember they will most likely double or more in size after the flip to 12/12. So if you are scarce on room, keep that in mind. Honestly, if you flipped to 12/12 today, your final plant height would probably be 30".

Autos are called auto flowers, they are seeds which grow normal at first, and then when they have a certain amount of nodes grown they explode into flowering and BOY do they flow hard an fast. hence the term auto flower. your also find growing autos mean you get to harvest your crops that little quciker as they dont need as much time to grow as non auto type strains on the market.

i think this old diary of mine an my sisters best shows you threw auto flowering precess because of how the updated pics were posted for all to use as a follow guideline for them if there growing auto NLs. the link is > https://www.rollitup.org/indoor-growing/520921-northern-light-automatic.html <

About .8723 inches per week. Just kidding, it really depends on several variables such as strain, medium, light, etc. I wouldn't get too caught up in that unless your plants stop growing all of the sudden. GL.

ok guys thanks! do you think i should switch them to 12-12? and if i do how often should i be watering them if i do? or the same?

i would give say a cup of water every 3-4 days unless the soil were you watered still looks moist.

As yor babys grow your find you will be able to tellw hen they need a watering just by lifting up the pots there is. been using the lift to guess weights method on my last 3 grows an its never failed me to date.

someone else will have to step in with light times to advice you as ive only ever gone with 18 hrs on/6 hours off after my seeds broke thrw the soil surface.

do not measure plants by height :) height could be caused by stretching which is not so good. rather measure by amount of nodes is better.

One of the reasons large commercial guys grow one or two strains for long times is so that they get use to how a specfic plants grows! All plants grow at different rates so make sure to record and write down all progress with your plants like a growers journal!
