I have a 250 watt HPS light for flowering. I will be using a T5 for vegging. I am growing in a grow tent that is 32 x 32 x 63. I plan on a scrog grow, so I was wanting to know with that size light and tent. How many plants should I grow?

You should upgrade to at least a 400w,maybe get a 600w dimmable..that's about the same size tent my buddy has and he kept his 600w turned down to half power during his veg cycle..you will probably be discouraged by your final harvest and potency if you use a 250w

About 1. Or less. A 250 HPS is maybe good for 2.
You could possibly SCROG or LST a good amount and get a good yield off of one plant, the space should be ok for 250 watt.. could get away with a 400 watt given good heat/humidity control. I would shoot for a good 250 bulb though... Not sure if your 250 watt system went cheap on the bulb side of the house. I do not have any off of the top of my head due to not needing that wattage bulb. There is a 250 club thread somewhere (I think it is in indoor growing section) where you could get some good information I am sure.

I am curious as I used a 150 watt hps (think the bulb was good though) on one plant and almost drew an ounce off of her (only 1 side 62 watt CFL 2700k). This was bag seed that I let veg too long in the size pot I had for her and using Miracle Grow 6 mo. as well. I never thought about the potency not being as good as if under a 600 watt.. just thought yield. I hope you are correct and I see a difference with my 600 watt grow on the potency side. Contrast from 1st bag seed grow to my current grow is "miles" apart in every way LOL. OP should listen to this guy and upgrade to at least a 400 watt with 2 plants in that set up.

I have a 22X36X63 tent and 400 watts gets her to 80 with 6 inch ducted in-line fan at 80cfm. 250 watt was what I was aiming for with a 3 plant scrog...if you keep the light close and room vented a 250 watt will be fine depending on your growing experience and budget. I ended up with a 400 watt cuz they didnt have the 250 in stock so they sent me the 400 at no additional cost.

50 watts per plant is the rule of thumb i use. so up to 5. i would go with 4 to make it even especially for scrog.
